Part 23

recap-There are a whole bunch sweet moments that happen between the lovers in SN, when suddenly out of no where Nakul proposes to Prerna in front of the whole family!! Ganga asks for Prerna's hand for her son to Nandani and Anu.

NJ, USA

It was late at night in the Basu house. Maryam, Wahida, and Kt were all sleeping on the couch squeezed together. Maryam was on the left side of the couch while Wahida's hand was on Kt's chest, Kt was all curled up in her pillow with her feet on Wahida's tummy. The whole house was silent until someone's eyes slowly opened. Maryam who was asleep finally woke up trying to struggle out of her position. She fixed her hair and quietly went upstairs in Kt's room. She slowly closed the door and started to search through Kt's closest and drawers. Finally she came to the last drawer hoping to find that diary; just when she was about to open it, Kt walks in catching her. Maryam stood there expressionless looking at Kt trying to think of what excuse she would give.

Kt looked tired but her face looked different. There were black bags under her eyes which weren't there before; her face looked more sharp and angrier then before and her features had looked extremely different. Maryam stood there staring at Kt making her doctoral observations.

Kt talks in a deep voice-Oh, to tu yaha hai? Kya karahe ho Kt ke kamrein mein?

Maryam scared-uh….umm woh Kt mein…(interrupted)

Kt-Kt aur woh mein? (laughs) Kabhi bhi nahin…..she is weak and stupid….who wants her to stay…..woh to kaabki ja chuki yaha se.

Maryam surprised and starts to be nice to the personality so she can figure out her name or his name.

Maryam-sorry, galti ho gaye, but if you are not Kt then who are you? What are you doing with Kt's body and why are you trying do you think she is weak?

Kt stares at Maryam with a calm face and then suddenly switching to an angry face, before she answers or even yet is about to say something Wahida comes behind Kt and turns her around shaking her.

Wahida-Kt, snap out of it dammit! (shaking her hard)

Maryam quickly walks towards wahida and stops her from shaking her, when suddenly Kt starts to hold her head.

Kt herself-why is my head hurting?

Maryam stares at Kt-chalo Kt, go to bed its late.

Kt walks off to her bed and then Maryam fiercely pulls Wahida out of the room.

Maryam-What the hell you idiot? I was about to figure out who was taking over her mind when you came and ruined it!

Wahida-Maryam, I thought she was going to hurt you, so I came in to snap her out of it.

Maryam-yea well whatever you did was just plain stupid and I am pissed off now. Kya zaroorat thi aisa karneki? Next time just butt out of it for god sakes.

Wahida-ha hamesha mein hi galat hoti hoon….tum to ek genius ho…mein kuch bhi nahin.

It was late in the morning about 1 a.m., when Maryam and Wahida went to sleep angrily. Maryam laid on her bed trying to sleep but couldn't help the fact that she couldn't find the diary. As she twisted and turned on the bed, a little far from her Wahida's made loud snoring noises. Wahida then takes her pillow and covers her head with it trying to sleep.

Maryam in her mind- I have to get my hands on that diary! Kt will be going to India in two days….how will I get it before that.

Mumbai India

The whole house is staring at Nakul and Prerna while Ganga is waiting for Nandani's answer. Nandani stands there shocked thinking of what to say. She stares at her daughter and sees her blushing. She sees love in Prerna's eyes which she had never ever seen. Prerna looked at Nakul the same way Nandani looked at Anu when she first fell in love. As she walked away from Ganga leaving everyone surprised. Nandani runs in the room not knowing what to say. Prerna stood shocked thinking why her mother had run off, when suddenly Nandani comes down with flowers and a red dupatta. Ganga, Damini, Nandani and the rest of the elders stood there knowing exactly what Nandani was doing. She happily went and took Tulsi's and Ba's blessings and then gives her flowers as a tradition. She walks off to Mihir and takes his blessings. Then she throws the red dupatta in the air, and it flies on Nakul and Prerna's head covering them telling them that her blessings at with them. Prerna looked at Anu and both remembered how once that same red duppata had blown on them, and how on that day started the journey of love.

Nandani-Ganga mera jawab tumhay mil gaya.

Anu comes holding Nandani's shoulder smiling. Ganga hugs both Anu and Nandani, and the whole hugging session begins. Shivani, Aali, Bhoomi, Zinu, Pari, and Laksh stood there happily because their brother was going to get married.

Zinu-Oh man kya shopping mein karongi yeh shaadi keliyeh.

Aali-heck yea….my dress will be the prettiest!!!

Pari-Sure it will….sapna dekhna band karde to please. Mein hameesha tumse achi lagti hoon.

While Pari and Aali were fighing Laksh looked at his crazy sisters thinking how girls are so crazy.

Here the both love birds takes Ba's Tulsi's and Mihir's blessings happily. As they bend down Nakul flies a kiss to Prerna, and Prerna gets red hoping no one saw it. Baa kisses Prerna on the forehead and then hugs the couple. Nakul grabs Prerna's hand when they hug Tulsi from the back.

Bhoomi stands there smiling with Rahul holding his hand, as he slowly kisses her hand making her blush bright red.

Karan then claps his hands happily and then grabs everyone's attention. All the people in the family turn around with fool attention, and then Karan quiets down and pushes Gautam to talk since he is the eldest in the house.

Gautam-Ok as Karan wanted to say…..well I mean as my brothers and I wanted to say is that we want to get Prerna and Nakul engaged within a month. We want our bahu in the house as soon as possible.

Everyone starts to talk in excitement, when Gautam suddenly clears his throat and everyone once again gives their full attention, but this Gautam pushes Sahil to talk since he was the second oldest.

Sahil sighs-Wait we are not done yet, so stop being so excited kids, and listen. Ek engagement nahin hogi two engagements hogi.

Everyone looks at Sahil confused not knowing who else was going to get engaged.

Karan then steps up-the second engagement will be Bhoomi's and Rahuls!

Everyone once again starts to clap, and with excitement the kids start to hug everyone one by one. Rohan hugs his brother and his bhabhi going to be….the he hugs Nakul and Laksh…..all the girls did the same. Shivani hugged Prerna and congratulated her while she and hugged Aali, then Zinu and Bhoomi. In excitement she bumps into Rohan where both are about to hug each other when they notice what they are doing and stop right on their tracks. They get a little eye locking session, and finally snap out of it. Zinu notices and shows Aali, both of them push Shivani on purpose, when she loses her balance and Rohan grabs her right in his arms before she falls. Shivani then gets out of his arms and looks at Zinu and Aali. Both of the girls run as fast as they can before Shivani could catch them.

On the side Laksh quietly walks out of the living room and goes inside his room. He goes up to the balcony and stares at his phone and then the beautiful moon. He thinks about Kt hoping and wanting to see her. He sees her in the moon and then imagines her in his cell phone lense. While imaging Kt, he hears Nakul in his mind telling him to call and express his feelings. Finally Laksh turns his phone on and starts to dial the number.

Outside Shivani walks out in the middle of the night with her car while her family is inside celebrating for the upcoming events. Rohan notices that she is not there and starts searching for her.

Back in Laksh's room in the terrace, he finally presses the dial key and the phone rings. (At Kt's home all of the girls are sleeping deeply while the phone rings)

Rohan leaves the house and notices Shivani sitting in her car, and before Rohan reaches her she leaves the driveway. Rohan panics wondering where she could go, so he runs off to his car and begins to follow her. He becomes nervous thinking that Shivani wouldn't do anything stupid.

Laksh on the other hand still is holding his phone to his ears listening to the ring just going on and on. He wanted to share this happiness with her, and just wanted to tell her that he loves her. As the phone rang over and over, Laksh finally got tired and hung up.

On the road, Shivani is driving as fast she can thinking in her head.

Shivani in her mind happily-At least everyone in the house is happy, which was all I wanted ever in my life. Now I will go look at the moon where it is best seen at night! I will feel at ease and the fresh air will be perfect. At least I will be able to think there since its quiet.

She parks her car at the mountain cliff where she usually used to come with her Bhoomi di, Aali, Zinu, and Pari to watch sunsets and the moon. She stood there breathing in the air and smiling to herself just being happy and just trying to forget her problems. She wanted to feel like herself…which she wasn't feeling in the past couple of days.

Back at home Laksh stands looking at the moon while the wind blows in his face. He again gets the urge to call; he doesn't know why but again takes his phone and redials the number. The phone rings 3 times and just before he is about to give up, he hears Kt in a sleepy voice saying hello.

While Laksh is thinking what to say, here at the cliff Shivani is standing looking at the beautiful moon when she loses her balance. Due to standing so close to the edge Shivani slips. As she closes her eyes while her whole life flashes through her mind. Here at the SN Kt once again says hello to Laksh.
