Bhism was a mighty warrior and friendly with all.....But, he was bounded by an oath to help the Kauravas.....He is very powerful....Even powerful than Arjun and Karna...The pandavas had a tough time trying to defeat him...But, he was again caught by his oath......He couldn't harm a men who was once a women according to one of his vows(cannot remember his name).....The pandavas placed that man infront of him and as a result Bhism couldn't fight....Arjun shot him from behind the man.....
