tushar.joshi@mid-day.com | DAGGERS DRAWN: Riva Bubber (left) and Tassnim Sheikh in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi | Tushar Joshi In the last few weeks, the on-screen drama in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has become fast-paced, but there is off-screen hungama happening as well.
Sources say that members of the cast, particularly the ladies, have regularly been losing their make-up and accessories on the show's sets. Gauri's lost palette
Confirming this Gauri Pradhan (Nandini) said, "Yes I did lose a couple of things some time back. I do my own make-up and carry stuff to the sets. I lost an expensive liner brush, which I got from Thailand, and also my base palette — together, they cost between Rs 3,000 to 4,000."
Gauri was robbed of these items despite having a separate make-up room, and says that without evidence, no one can pinpoint the culprit. Riva's brushes missing
Riva Bubber, who plays Damini on the show, also found that one of her make-up brushes was missing from her make-up kit. "There's nothing I can do about it now. But I have definitely become a bit more careful." Showdown on the sets
Meanwhile, someone from the Kyunki unit passed a comment, saying, "Things have started disappearing since newcomers have joined the show." Sources say there was a huge showdown on the set after this, resulting in tension between Riva and Tassnim Sheikh (a recent entrant) who plays Mohini.
When contacted, Riva said, "I have never made any accusation about anyone in the show. Kyunki is like my family. All of us misplace and lose things at some point or the other; but that doesn't mean we go pointing fingers at each other." Tassnim irked
But Tassnim assumed the barb was aimed at her and made her displeasure clear.
"It was very upsetting the way the person said it — I don't think it was in good taste at all. In fact, I have been losing a lot of my stuff right from the beginning. I have lost many of my kajal boxes; a friend of mine sends me this kajal all the way from Pakistan."
Tassnim had to pick up stuff from make-up and hair experts Bharat and Doris Godambe after she lost hers. tushar.joshi@mid-day.com |
