Sudha Shivpuri aka Baa of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi fell off her vanity van on Saturday night. She missed a step while getting off her vanity van and fractured her femur. She has been advised complete bed-rest and will be unable to shoot for the next two weeks.
According to a unit member the shooting came to a complete halt after Baa injured herself. He says, "We were all quite shaken when we heard that Baa had injured herself. A doctor was immediately called to the sets. Despite the injury and our requests to leave, she completed the one scene before leaving. She is a thorough professional. Thankfully, her house is close to the studio."
Still in pain and laid in bed, Sudha spoke to us. She said, "I was just getting off my vanity van when I slipped. There was excruciating pain in my hips. However, I finished my one shot that was left as I did not want the shoot to be delayed because of me. My doctor has asked me to take complete bed rest. I have not been shooting since Saturday."
A darling with everyone on the sets, Sudha has been flooded with phone calls and SMSes wishing her speedy recovery. The unit member adds, "We really miss Baa, we are so used to seeing her on the sets always."
Says Sudha, "My unit members have kept in touch with me via phone calls and SMSes. I really miss my team."
