family have lost their ancestral property, business house and most of their wealth. As a result the cast members are donning the penniless look. Obviously, the actor's unbelievable demands didn't go down well with the production house Balaji Telefilms.

In an unprecedented move, the thinking heads at the production house decided to cut his salary for a day, which amounts to Rs 15, 000 and shot a complete episode without the actor. The story goes that the focus is shifting to Sumeet and his demand for a suit has only upset things for him.

A source from the production house informs, "Sumeet's scenes were vital since his character is coming back to the focus after a long time. At the moment, the Virani family is living in a chawl and hence, the actors are required to have a simple look. The male actors are wearing plain shirts and kurtas while the female actors are wearing the simplest of saris, very little make-up and jewellery. So when Sumeet Sachdev demanded to shoot in a suit, we simply refused. His salary for the day was also cut and he was removed from that episode."

Sumeet, when contacted, was quite defensive about the episode. He says, "My weight is not an issue at all." Ask him about not shooting for the day and he admits, "Yes, I didn't shoot for the scene on that day."

Samir, production head of Kyunki… says, "I have heard about the incident but I don't know much about it. You need to talk to the creative head about this."

Vikas Gupta, creative head on the show, remained tight-lipped about Sumeet's unreasonable demands. He says, "This is a very trivial issue to comment upon."
