Ekta Kapoor gets popular characters Ba and Bhoomi from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi to save her new show, Kahe Na Kahe

Ekta Kapoor has roped in Reshmi Ghosh aka Bhoomi and Sudha Shivpuri aka Ba of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi as a rescue operation for her new show, Kahe Na Kahe. Apparently, Ekta wasn't too happy with the show's ratings and also the parallel lead Madhura who plays Neena. So, Reshmi has been brought in to replace Madhura while Sudha will play a grandmother to spruce up the show.

A source says, "The show is not doing too well and the ratings are not as great as other shows of Balaji Telefilms. So, Ekta has decided to rope in better known actors. She has decided to get two known faces from Kyunki… to spice up the show."

Says Reshmi, "I will be playing the parallel lead Neena in the show and I have replaced Madhura. My character is very bubbly, flamboyant and expressive unlike my character Bhoomi in Kyunki... I am enjoying my role as I play a happy go lucky 23 year old girl. She is a supermodel from an affluent political family but has no attitude. Ekta called me to play Neena as I believe that she was not happy with Madhura's work. It's a young and fresh unit and the working atmosphere is completely different from Kyunki…"

Sudha Shivpuri, who is best known as Ba of Kyunki…, will be given an interesting look and role in this show.

Sudha says, "I am playing dadima, who belongs to an affluent family. Ekta wanted me to play this role and it's a very nice and emotional role. I started shooting yesterday.

My look has been inspired a bit from Maharani Gayatri Devi. It's a new show so viewers will have to wait and watch how it works out."

Trivendra Singh, Production Head of the show, says, "The show's ratings are marginal. It's a new channel (9X) and a new show. Ekta wasn't happy with Madhura's acting skills so Reshmi was called in and Sudhaji will also enter the track soon. If Ekta is not happy with any element of a show, she sits with the creative team and decides on replacements or changes."
