Quite logically the killer could be Eklavya since he probably retains the Sanskars of Tulsi and SN. He is an extra Pawn grown with the Viranis. So he might do this to save the Viranis from losing everything, at the same time also pave way for complete elimination of all those who has evil designs for SN, and repay SN for having brought him up and regret for all his misdeeds.

If this lawyer is indeed KN's son, then point 1.0 of the pending list of points gets attented.
I feel he might be the public prosecutor arguing the case against Gautam and would hate the Viranis to begin, as he too would hate crime and criminals.
