Eid is round the corner (Sunday). We ask some of our telly stars about their plans for Eid and also their childhood memories of the festival.
Ali Asgar (Kamal, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii)
Sunday will start with Namaz and after that we all will go to our relative's place. My mother will make some delicious shahi biryani. In the evening around 5 I will go for my Kahaani shoot. There will definitely be some celebrations. I and my co-actors have been celebrating Eid with great zeal for the last seven years and this will continue.
There are many childhood memories. We used to do lots of masti and wait for eidi (gift). Whoever used to give us good eidi would become our favorite uncle or aunty and after that we used to forget them. I wish all my fans Eid Mubarak
Tasneem Sheikh (Mohini, Kyunki)
First of all I will make sheer kurma and biryani. I will be celebrating Eid at my in-laws' place. I'm very excited and guessing what eidi I would get. If I'm shooting then I will be celebrate it with my Kyunki co-actors.
Rakshanda Khan (Tanya, Kyunki)
I think I will be shooting on Sunday. That's how the television works so I will be missing Eid. I have come to know about the importance of home as am shooting 24 hours. Even during Eid I won't be able to enjoy fully with my family. My mom will be making kheer and biryani.
As a child we all used to go to our bua's and nani's place. We were very excited to get eidi from my elders. I really miss that now.
Iqbal Khan (LT.Abhimanyu, Choona Hain Aaasman)
I'm out of town as I'm going to Kolkata for the promotion of my new serial. It's sad but I think work comes first and Insha Allah I will make up for it on Monday and celebrate with my wife.
My childhood memories include getting good food, eidi and sometimes money. Eid Mubarak to all.
Sarah Khan (Sadhna, Bidaai)
I will be celebrating Eid with my second family i.e. the shooting unit. For us it's a big festival. My series director Rajan Sahi is like my father. I'm very glad to celebrate this festival with elders like Alok Nathji.
