I Agree with you 100%, people seriously need to start thinking, and stop discriminating girls, whenever they get the chance! Abhi, mann, he is too.. š šOriginally posted by: sarah1024
I despise men who think like Abhir. Like everyone else said, he cheated on Archita but when he found out that she was seeing someone, he got all hypocritical and posessive. It's not just Abhir...almost the entire society seems to be based on double standards when it comes to issues like marriage and sex. If a husband cheats on his wife and she takes him back, she is considered a "good" and "forgiving" wife while the husband's acts are called a "mistake". However, if a wife cheats on her husband, she is called every horibble name in the book and it is considered the norm for her husband to dump her. And here's the most ridiculous part - the issue of "ghar ki izzat" only applies to women. A man can have a one-night stand and get someone pregnant, but the only person who loses their honour is the woman. The son of a rich family can be surrounded by girls day and night but that isn't disgraceful by any stretch. However, all hell breaks loose if a girl sleeps with someone out of wedlock, no matter how rich she is. If a man gets dumped at the mandap, nobody cares. If the same thing happens to a woman, everyone reacts as if the world is about to end and some guy has to step in and marry the girl to save her reputation! Nothing irritates me on Indian soaps more than the way women are treated differently. Sorry for going a little off-topic... š³
