No Sahil started to fall for her while she was still married. In fact, in one episode there was this long scene of Sahil fantasizing about Ganga and this was well before the divorce. He did feel it was wrong to have such incestuous feelings. But later Ganga discovered about Gautam and Teesha; she was in shock and that's when she too began falling for Sahil because he had come very close to her with his support and caring and all. She wanted divorce but Gautam refused, coz of property issues. Tulsi was shocked when she found out but a couple of episodes later she decided to fight for Ganga. I still remember Tulsi finally giving a long lecture and then asking Gautam to free Ganga so that she can go to her Sahil and have a happy life (the dialogue played on the meanings of the words "Ganga" and "Sahil"). 😃

Actually, I was wondering about this...were they even actually married in the first place b/c he never put sindoor, etc. so does it really count as a marrige???

It was explained in that episode by the pandit that (according to their culture) the marriage was complete/solemnised since they had already performed the circumambulation around the fire. The sindoor ceremony is merely symbolic in nature and not necessary to solemnise the marriage. In fact, Eklavya asked this very question (that how can the marriage be complete coz they hadn't done the sindoor part yet) to the pandit and that's when this lecture was given. 😊
