Written Update Mon. June. 18 2007
The scene starts with Tulsi making everybody's favourite foods which she makes it as a surprise for Saahil, and Karan. Mohini comes in and admires the food. She tells Mohini how happy she is that everybody is happy and getting along. She tells Mohini to go get everybody together for dinner. Tulsi is waiting at the dinner table for everybody and it gets late. She wonders where everybody is, and thinks Mohini forgot to tell everybody. She goes to get everyone but no one is in their rooms. All of a sudden Tulsi's face lightens up and she sees everybody enjoying the dinner she made. Everybody smiles over at Tulsi (how fake).
Everybody is sitting in the living room and Tulsi passes around rasgulas she made. Karan says how good it feels eating food made by Tulsi. Tulsi asks everybody if they are happy and if there is anything else anybody needs. Eklavya says yes there is something you can do for me. He says I want you to sign these papers. Tulsi asks why? Saahil says it is not a big deal, but before you came Mihir signed everything to us, and we need you to sign that you have no objection to this.
Tanya and Saahil say it is very important that we get this money to save our business (oh really Tanya, shouldn't you say to save your greed). Tulsi says oh I see, it seems you guys were never happy that I came back. Karan says no it's not that. We just need the money, and Tulsi says I thought my children had the strength to face any problem and not be forced to use that was set away for charity. Eklavya says we had forced Mihir to give that money because Mihir was making wrong decisions left, right and center. Tulsi asks them how would they feel if she doesn't sign these papers.
Everybody has shocked looks on their faces. Tripiti starts yelling at why she shouldn't sign the papers, but stops herself from saying anything further. Tulsi says oh I see no wonder everybody's attitude against her has changed. Karan says sorry if she feels that they are being mean, but they are not. They need the money. Eklavya says if you really love us then sign these papers. Tulsi asks KT to get her glasses or specs for people in the UK and India.
Eklavya gives the papers to Tulsi. KT asks Tulsi not to sign the papers and Eklavya asks her why is she thinking so much. Tulsi looks around at everybody. She signs the papers and everybody leaves. Baa says know she truly believes that she is really Tulsi because only Tulsi would do such a thing for her family. KT asks Tulsi why did she sign those papers, know she has nothing. Tulsi says she has everything the love of her family. KT tells her if she really believes that her family loves her.
The next scene shows Eklavya having some foreign clients at the house. Tulsi thinks that nobody has offered them and tea or snacks and that she will have to go do it. The white people say that the old man or Mihir was such a pain, it's good that they sent him away. They say in their country they send old people to care facilities and they don't have the burden to take care them. The white people ask and what is the point of having old people living with you. Tulsi walks in with snacks and overhears everything. She says there is a point of having old people at home. In our country we respect them and take care them because that is what they did for us when we needed them, and now they need us. Karan, Saahil, and Eklavya have guilty looks on their faces while listening to Tulsi's lectures. After Tulsi's speech she offers everyone snacks and tea. The white people then ask who is this old lady. Eklavya says this is our maid. The white men says to tell her not to talk so much. Karan tries to cut in and tell them that she is their mother, but Eklavya interrupts him. The white men offer Tulsi money. Tulsi is very hurt and Karan, Saahil, and the three bhaos seem quite disturbed.
Tulsi is shown talking to Mihir's photo and says the reason why she came back is because she thought her family really loved her that they really needed her. Today she realized that they are a burden on them. Tulsi says she was shocked when she found out that Mihir left the house, but now she understands why.
Tanya and Tripiti walk into the kitchen and are shocked that the cooking isn't done yet and talk about how they need a cook. Tripiti asks who we should get. Tanya says we will ask Tulsi because she does nothing all day, just pooja and paat all day and she enjoys to cook. Tulsi over hears everything. Tripiti says it is true what Eklavya said that Tulsi is a maid so she should do the maid's work. Tanya starts laughing and then sees Tulsi. Tanya and Tripiti start to stammer and say that they were just talking. Tulsi says she understands everything, but she came to them for some other work. She gives her room keys and says she doesn't need these anymore. I guess she is planning to leave Nachati Keertan.
Very sad episode. It is time for Tulsi to get a backbone and kick everyone out of the house and let them make something from their own hand's and not rely on their grandfather's already built business.
