Kyunki… goes glam

The three bahus of Kyunki… insisted on getting makeovers recently. Was it the glamorous Gautami's entry that gave them the idea?

Trust the mother of all soaps Kyunki… to always create a murmur. The reason could be anything from bickering between the actors to makeovers to the 20-year leaps. Well this time it's the entry of new Tulsi (played by Gautmi Kapoor).

When a diva enters into the domain of other divas, it becomes a reason of insecurity among the others. That's precisely what is happening on the sets of Ekta's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. The three bahus, Rakshanda Khan aka Tanya, Suvarna Jha aka Trupti, Reva Bubber aka Damini, apparently felt a little insecure when Gautami Kapoor entered the show as the main protagonist. So, on the first day of Gautami's shooting, the three ladies went to a salon to get themselves a makeover.

According to the storyline, the characters will take just six months leap. For such a short time frame, the characters were supposed to look the same. But these three bahus got an okay from the executive producer, then went ahead and got their tresses snipped and layered. Apparently, they took a long time at the salon. As a result, the EP pressed the panic button fearing that they may change their look drastically.

Gautami Kapoor

Says a source from the production house, "Gautami has been a glamour queen even if she was not acting for so many years. So, when she was selected as Smriti's replacement, there was quite a buzz among the actors. The insecurity was quite evident among the ladies in the show. So, they settled for nothing less than a fast makeover. I guess there will be sparks among the divas in future!"

We asked one of the bahus, Reva Bubber aka Damini, about this. She said, "Basically, Suvarna and Rakshanda wanted a quick haircut and they made me go with them as I share a great rapport with them. They got their hair cut and highlighted. Even I wanted to do it, but my hairdresser told me not to go in for a change."

Reva, however, denies any growing insecurity. "The story is taking a six-month leap, so the makeover was much needed. There is no insecurity among us. And I just curled my hair a bit," she said.

they don't have to fear...Gautami is no competition to at least Tanya and Damini!

Thanx for the article buh I really don't get it😕 Why would the bahus feel insecure in front a Granny who has grey hair?????🤔 I don't think there is any competition at all😛
