Your opinion Needed - please read

Allright i just read a article on indya.com stating that tulsi will be presumed dead and come back with a new face after a plastic surgery. So the question is whether our favorite Smriti will return back to the show or not. The creative head of Balaji said that if everything is fine between Smriti and Ekta she will return after a few months or she will not. There has been so much media speculation about this issue that all of us are going crazy behind this articles. i personally feel that it is Tulsi(Smriti) that people adore and not Kyunkii. We could basically say that she is running the show. When a actor play i character in a soap for 7 yrs straight it is really hard for the audience to relate to the new actor. it is very hard to be in the shoes of an actress that has carved a niche for herself in the 7 yrs on Stars falgship drama Kyunkii. I think that ekta will have to bring Tulsi back in order to keep this Longest running soap on the Top. i know she claims that she has replaced many popular characters like Amar uphadyay and others but amar upadhyay wasn't as famous as Tulsi so people adjusted with the fact of having a new mihir. But at times replacing a popular character has also costed her in the complete decline of the soap. For example replacing Iqbal Khan in Karam Apna Apna led to a steep decline in the TRPs of the show and therefore my conclusion is a brilliant actor is irreplacable whether it be after a feww months of shows launch or whether it be 7 years after the shows launch

You are so right but I guess this time the viewers are taken as granted. Lets see wot happens next. Frankly speaking, it does not make any diffrence to me who plays Tulsi as long as they play it well and as strongly as Smriti did. I am sure they will get away easily after changing Tulsi. May be they will come up with a better plot. Who knows? Lets all wait and watch.

I do agree with you. She has definitey been one of the strongest protagonists that Indian television has ever seen. The next one could be Gautami, Shefali or Padmini herself, no one can replce Smriti. Padmini Kolhapure is an actor of great caliber herself but it would be very hard for her to replace Smriti.

For almost every Kyunki watcher, Kyunki = Tulsi and Tulsi definitely = Smriti. She is just so strong, not just her character, but Smriti herself. She totally embodies Tulsi Virani.

It would indeed be very hard to run KSBKBT with the same TRPs once Tulsi is gone and as far as comparisons with Amar Upadhyay go, he was in the serial for a couple years whereas Tulsi has been there for 7 years, so no way one can compare!

i think that posting a petition now is too soon because Smriti said that she is just taking a break therefore we need to wait before we make a petition

there have been so many media speculation bout this topic its hard to believe wats goin to happen so we will have to wait nd watch. i personally think tht if smriti is going for a break then tulsi might be in hiding nd send either gautami, or padmini to help her get revenge frm the virani bahus nd eklavya.
