Padmini is waiting for Balaji's call
The race is on between Padmini Kolhapure and Gautami Kapoor for the coveted role of Tulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Last Wednesday Padmini met up with Balaji and it is said that Gautami was also present during the meeting.
Padmini is presently in Pune for her personal work but her secretary Jovina says, "Padmini had a meeting with Balaji last week. She came back from abroad and received a call from them. Ekta was not there in the meeting but Baliji's creative head, Nevidita Basu, was present."The race is on between Padmini Kolhapure and Gautami Kapoor for the coveted role of Tulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Jovina says that the decision from Balaji's side as to who will be playing the role of Tulsi will come by Monday or Tuesday. She says, "They now have two options as I think Gautami was at the meeting as well. The newspapers today have published that Padmini has been finalized but that is not true. If it would have been finalized then I would know about it."
Is Padmini seriously considering playing Tulsi?
"Yes Padmini is thinking about this offer positively but let's see what Ekta decides. Balaji's terms and conditions are hard but Padmini will definitely think about this." adds Jovina.
When contacted, Gautami Kapoor denies being present at the meeting saying, "I had no meeting with Balaji as of now. I have no clue as to when we will have a meeting. Nothing has been finalized."
Last month Ekta cancelled her meeting with Padmini as she wanted to visit the temple. If Padmini does accept this role this will mark her entry into the television industry. The actress's last film was in Marathi "Chimni Pakhre" with Milind Gunaji. Padmini also produced the movie.
