A mit Tandon, Tina Parakh and Rajshree Thakur are soon to get married while other TV stars like Manoje Biddvai, Raavee Gupta , Gurdip Kohli and Arjun Punjj are newly-weds.

Compared to film stars, who shy away from marriage lest those offers stop coming in, the only problem TV stars face is getting leave sanctioned to get married.

HT Caf spoke to some of the prime time TV stars if marriage affects their career prospects or fan following. Amit Tandon Who: One of the 10 Indian Idol finalists and actor by default What's up: He has acted in Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai and is currently seen as Manthan, the third generation Virani with loads of attitude and a tattoo on his bicep, in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhie Bahu Thi.

D-Day: January 6 to girlfriend Ruby in the US.

Quote unquote: "Marriage doesn't affect my star status of fan following because there's no stopping love. When you meet the right person, you can't fear anything.

"The fans love you because of your performance and not your single status. In fact they find you more desirable after marriage." Rajshree Thakur Who: Saloni, the lead protagonist of Saat Phere Saloni Ka Safar What's up: Made debut in the abovementioned show on Zee about a dark girl who finds it difficult to get married D-Day: Getting married to Sanjyot Vaidya but doesn't want to disclose the date though she says it's in February.

Quote Unquote: "TV actors are closer to the audience in the sense they come to their drawing rooms every day and they are considered as family.

"Besides, the audience is more interested in the character you are playing and not what you do in your personal life." Tina Parakh Who: Mukti in Kasauti Zindagi Kay and Shruti in Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii What's up: Her new show, Ek Se Badhkar Ek, a countdown show with her Kasauti actor Manoj Bohra recently went on air D-Day: February 9. She's getting married to Vikram Hazra who she met at the Art of Living sessions.

Quote Unquote: "I know of many TV stars who wouldn't get married because they think it will affect their careers.

"But I am going ahead because it will only help me grow as a person and as an actress. Marriage does not frighten me. sIf you are ready to take on that additional responsibility and think you can balance it with your career, why not?" Manoje Biddvai Who: He portrayed the character of Abhi in Dekho Magar Pyar Se What's up: He's shooting for Aroona Irani's forthcoming serial, Doli Saja Ke Rakhna for Sahara One.

Got hitched on: December 16, 2006 Quote Unquote: "TV stars are known more by the characters they play and not by their real names. So I don't think marriage really makes any difference. In fact, our fans have been very supportive."
