Comments about her being black/dark and having ugly eyes are irrelevant and harsh since that is something that she was born with and not really something she can improve upon unless she puts on loads of makeup or gets plastic surgery. I think she looks pretty in a natural way and her clothes are probably kept simple because she does come from a poorer background than the Viranis.
