To start with Tanya, I feel that this woman is always on the tenderhooks as to Karan will leave her, therefore this total submission to him. She does not want to do anything to displease him. This was very apparent in the way she approached him to have a talk. It felt like an employer- employee scenario rather than a husband- wife. And I believe that to compensate this lack of relationship, she has been overindulging in the children. I can identify her character with a lot of women who at a certain point start living life through their children. That does not mean she will turn negative, just that anyone who points at her children will not be in her graces.
About Ganga, finally Ekta has showed some commom sense. This is the most realistic her women get after separation. She might have been a mess for some days after the separation but now she is in control and she knows it and isn't afraid to use it. I think this is what Damini meant to Baa. Ganga entered the household after so many years and her whole focus was on humilating Saahil. Not for one moment did she pause to go talk to Damini or her kids. This is very different from the old Ganga who would have first met her loved ones and then the ones who wronged her. Somehow where the old Ganga was about forgiveness, she forgave Teesha after all, this one is after the blood of Saahil and Tripti. And I do not believe that Saahil that day was talking about Ganga while taunting Karan about Nandini. Because if it was true, Lakshaya and Nakul would have met Ganga by now. I am waiting for the storyline in this direction.
About Damini, her role can best be described as a spectator. She is among all people in Virani family realizing the direction they are heading to but cannot do anything. Somehow the division has weakened the unity in the family and she is afraid as to what extent it can lead them to but whenever she wants to correctify the situation she finds herself alone. Her husband is bothered about the business, Mihir has become indifferent, Karan is hell bent on revenge from those who wronged his dead mother, Tanya reluctant to take any more burdens. She has come to a point where it does not matter to her what wrong one is commiting but she just wants it to stop, the constant fighting. After all everyone in the house previously committed mistakes-Gautam's first marriage, Karan and Damini's plan to take revenge but if those faults were forgiven why cannot the same be done now. And that is why she is behaving the way she is.
Till now I have been happy with the leap as Ekta by intoducing more chaos in terms of charactrs and their behavior has differentiated it from the first leap. Also some storylines are looking more promising than the regular good bad circle people go in. Actually after this leap there is not a single charcter who is totally positive except Lakshaya in the Virani household.
So what do you guys think?
