Nandini is trying to get close to Karan, who just cannot reciprocate the feelings. He thinks that it was Nandini's love that initially prevented him from getting close to Tanya and now it is Tanya's loyalty that is a barrier between him & nandini.
Nandini asks Karan if he still loves her and he says that he was, is and will always love her. Nandini appologises for having any doubts. She tells him that the next day is a karvachaut and they should be celebrating after many years. karan feels uncomfortable with the idea. After Nandini falls asleep he visits Tanya
Tanya too is making preparations for Karvachaut. He is astonishes and asks Tanya not to go ahead with the idea. Tanya says that she has done it before. Why does he want to take away her rights as a wife? karan says now that nandini is back and still ill, they just cant afford to do it.
Tanya sort of hangs on his shoulder.
In between this conversation, Nandini wakes up and finds the bed next to her empty. She looks for Karan in the kitchen and then bathroom. Not finding him in either of these places, she thinks that Karan is uncomfortable with something and cant communicate to her. Tanya being a good frind would surely know. She will ask her. From the corridor, she sees that Tanya is not yet asleep and light are still on. She opens the door.
