She had read about Egypt's pyramids and the river Nile in school. But Tassnim Sheikh never imagined she would be sailing in the waters of the river some day.
"It was a dream come true for me. I always wanted to visit Egypt because of its mystical elements. The pyramids have always attracted me due to their magical powers."

Sheikh spent her days going on camel safaris, visiting the local market and interacting with the locals.

"My favourite moment was when I took a picture with a dolphin at a water park. I am an avid watcher of Animal Planet and know everything about dolphins. It was amazing to be within arm's length of one."
As far as the pyramids are concerned, Tassnim advises one not to spend too much time inside them. "Once you climb on top and enter the opening, there isn't much oxygen inside. You can't wait there too long."
She had to sneak in a camera to take pictures inside the pyramid. "Since it's forbidden to frisk women in that country, I managed to hide a small camera and get some pictures," she explains.

Yeh khaana hai?
Describing the food as unappealing, she said, "I didn't take to their cuisine at all. They have weird combinations of cooking food. So, I stuck to rice and bread, with curry."

On a trip to the local market, Tassnim met locals who swore by Bollywood.
"Amitabh Bachchan is like God to them. They worship him, in fact they held prayers when they heard about him being unwell."
While the women are pretty, Tassnim found the men a bit uncouth.

"The men there consider Indian women attractive, and like chatting them up. I remember talking to shopkeepers who sold me their goods for half the price, just to spend some time talking to me. It was irritating at first, but I got stuff at a really low price, so I can't complain."
Tassnim calls Egypt one of the places to visit before you die. "You haven't seen the world, if you haven't been to Egypt."
