Baa has finally found out about the current status of the case. She clutches her heart and starts sweating profusely. The chain of rosemary beads gets broken and the beads fall down the stairs and she finally rolls down too. The doctor tells the family that it was a minor heart attack, but her age is against her. He just asks them to take good care of her.
Everybody is remorseful. Damini and Ganga wonder how Baa got the information about Thulsi. They took care that she did not know the details. Savitha says that Thulsi is responsible for this condition of Baa also. Karn is angered and decides to speak. Karan says that Maa has a message and says that Thulsi did not mind going to jail. But she felt bad that it had to be on the day of their anniversary. And he is glad that Baa had an attack. Mihir is very surprised. Karan continues saying that today, at the time of need nobody supported Thulsi. Nobody is wrong except Mihir on this day. Whatever has happened to baa today and whatever will happen to this family in future will be his responsibility, rather he will be the cause. He continues saying" I often longed to be called your son, but now I ashamed to be your son. After all you turned out to be a pretty ordinary human being, Papa and then says no…Mr.Mihir Virani (in his good old style) and walks out.
Mihir alone in his room, recollect karan's words and ponders about it. Savitha comes in. Mihir says he thinks karan is right and he is responsible for Baa's heart attack. Savitha says Baa loves Thulsi like Mihir and herself too and its Thulsi's condition which has affected baa. She asks Mihir not to blame himself as it is all fruits of one's Karma.
Karan goes to meet Thulsi in custody. Thulsi assures karan that relationships are felt at heart and not at home. She asks him to take care of Baa. The condition of baa comes out and Thulsi weeps and so does Karan. She asks karan if he can do a favour and he just nods. She says she wants baa back when comes out. Baa will be Karan's responsibility in future.
Baa regains consciousness. Savitha tells her that she did not punish Thulsi, but law took its course. Baa says that there is another court in which the accounts are tallied and accountants cannot be cheated. She says that she will go to "Gangasagar"(in Hardvar) to pray for Thulsi. Mihir tries to say that her health is deteriorating …..but Baa says that Mihir has lost his rights to speak to her. He did as he pleased and now she will do as she pleases.
Savitha asks Mihir to some how stop Baa from leaving the house. The house is in turmoil and her health is poor. She cries and says that she often has misunderstandings with baa, but loves and respects her a lot. Mihir says that he also feels the same but does not know what to do.
Meera, Tanya and Nandini do not want to think of what would happen in a week's time. Nandini says she has a plan. She will make a deal with the Viranis. The Viranis badly want the child of Ansh. She will give it to them on the condition that Mihir takes back his statement. Meera says that Mihir is a very principled man and she has seen how he crumbled when he spoke against Thulsi. It is highly doubtful if Mihir will agree to such a proposition.
Baa does some pooja and is all set to leave. Mohini is the first to say that baa cannot leave them alone. Baa says they are not alone. It's Thulsi who is lonely. Mihir says that she need not punish the whole family for the wrongs that he has done. Baa says that he has indeed turned the fire which was a proof of his marriage vows into the fire of test. He has sinned and it is up to her to cleanse her house and reinstate Thulsi, with out which the house can never be complete. Baa is determined to leave and Karan is at the door and will probably accompany her.
