Lokhandwala coffee shop... for hot chocolate
I studied in Mumbai for just one year. My college was in town (South Mumbai). That was when we (my friends and I) used to hang out in the vicinity of our college. I didn't have any particular favourite joint then, but I loved to try out different places. We would watch a film at Eros cinema and then move on to a nice food-joint close by for a bite to eat. Now, with work and all, it's a different story. We don't have that kind of time to stroll around the place and check new places out. So we (Apurva and I) go to the nearest possible location, and that, for us, is the Barista coffee shop at Lokhandwala Complex.
Barista is the most convenient hangout for me. Not only is it close to where I live, but it is also in close proximity to where my friends reside. Since most of our friends live in the same area, we very often end up meeting there. It's convenient for all of us to get together over a cup of coffee. We sit there and chat for hours. Sometimes, I bump into them there by chance, without having decided to meet in advance.
I like the ambience of the place...and then again, I simply love the hot chocolate they serve. One of the few things I love doing is to have a mug of hot chocolate before dinner and then go for a walk. It's lovely to have such a joint nearby. I cannot only spend some quiet time and chill out, but also meet friends and enjoy their company, which becomes difficult otherwise.
