Gautami promises to be back!

She has a billion dollar smile, enough to light up a room when she flashes her pearlies.

Her presence on screen too is equally radiant. Known for her self-righteous roles in Ghar Ek Mandir and more recent Tulsi Virani of Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Thi, Gautami has played some versatile acts in the past and also dabbled in Bollywood with Abhishek Bachchan in Kuch Na Kaho.

Right now the pretty lady is enjoying her short break from the telly world. Her husband Ram Kapoor and she will be proud parents by the end of the year. "And we are so happy and excited about it, just can't express it," says Gautami.
She goes on, "During my first delivery, I was a bundle of nerves. Anxious like any other woman, my family was my support system. My daughter Sia brought us immense happiness and in the last two years, I did believe that a nuclear family can run with one child. However, I now feel I was mistaken. A single child does need a sibling. When I broke the news of her soon-to-come sibling, she was ecstatic. I am happy that I will be completing my family picture now."

Being at the peak of her career, didn't going the family way hamper her career prospects? "Surprise surprise! Right till the last day of me playing Tulsi's role, I didn't take a break. Perhaps this was God's gift to me, I discovered I had conceived on the day my last shot was taken as Tulsi. Since then, many offers came my way. But I put my foot down as I wanted to take it easy and enjoy this time."

So, post delivery, how soon will she bounce back? "Well! Give me just a few months and not even a year off. And I will be back. And I want to do something different this time. Like I would love to do an action-adventure reality show like Khatron ke Khiladi. I don't want to get lazy and put on too much weight either, so work will keep me going."

Talking about her support system at home, she says, "I couldn't thank my family enough. Ram, my in-laws and my parents, also Sia are so giving. I truly want to emphasise that the woman of today is really lucky. Even a man's perspective towards us is way different than a generation ago. I would suggest to women of my age to stop cribbing (if they do) and start to cherish and treasure each moment we have today in our hands. Today's society is very liberal too. We have the best resources and since we are the best, now is the time to go ahead and prove it."

So much in love with work, so how does a perfect day look like to her, on the sets? "I do love my work, my colleagues and my directors. But a perfect day to me is with my family, sharing a warm, delicious dinner." The three Kapoors or four? "Soon enough, the four of us. Amen!"

The article doesn't say that she is going to come back in kyunki. I think she has meant working again after the delivery, after she take a break.
