After being on one side of a reality show, Ronit Roy will be judging Aaja Mahi Ve - a new dance reality show in telelvision. Ronit and his co judges Shweta Tiwari and Apra Mehta will be called Love Gurus and not judges.
Speaking about his decision to judge the show, Ronit says, "The most important part of the show is that common people who are not related to this industry are getting a platform here. Second thing is that it is very natural that young couples often express their feelings for each other easyily but are scared to tell this to their parents. So through this show we will show their stories not only to their elders but also to entire world. The third most significant thing is that in this entire journey dance is small component... from start of the show till the finale all of them will have their own or similar problems and how they will cope is going to be a learning experience for them. There are so many couples from this show... they know about their kid's relation but they are opposing them only because of cast or religion. Through this show their family can see their love and affection towards each other. TV is strong medium and you never know ...their parents may accept their relation and realize that the girl or boy is the perfect person for our kid."
Explaining uniqueness of show he says, "We are actors not dancers but we are judging the show, contestants are real life couples and not dancer but they are dancing. Rahul and Vineet are singers but they are hosts of the show. So all of us are trying to do something different than whatever we have done in past."
Lastly when asked about what will be his reaction if one day you will see your daughter on TV like this, Ronit says "My daughter is 18 years old and if I will come to know about her relation through television or newspaper then my reaction will be based on the fact that how well I know my daughter.. what I want for her. But my first reaction will be shock! Beyond shock there will be feeling of defeat as a father...".
