ok i got a topic where i can write write and write lol
my vote is definitely going to sanjeeda. reasons given below
a) For attempting and succeeding in doing diverse roles. one thing i so admire abt sanjeeda is -she chose to play diverse/different types of roles. i always felt she is not someone who'll play safe but she is someone who'll push the envelope. she doesnt get scared of playing any role and i truly admire the girl's guts coz in india's tv industry actors are known by their on-screen names/characters more than their real names unlike our film industry. she always did/does justice to whatever was/is given to her by the director and writers.
b) For always enacting different shades of the same character convincingly. she was downright awesome as the positive ayesha who was sensible ,aggressive, passionate and hotheaded but had a caring heart and was equally awesome as the negative ayesha who was vengeful, obsessive, insecured, selfish, manipulative, lonely and to some extent psychotic in that very character she brought all these shades and also brought the pain, guilt, jealousy, frustrations with great finesse. there was a time when for five to six episodes she had no dialogues but she spoke through the eyes. locking herself in a dark room all she did was feel angry at her defeat and frustrated by betrayal by her own luck. sometime she let her feeling pour by reacting violently or sometimes by sitting in a corner silently and sometimes planning something pure evil . my personal favs are her lonely moments and when she gets all hysterical and mad. there were times when i hated the character and time when i sympathized with the character.
and if ayesha belonged to north pole then her role in her debut show belonged to south pole. it was diametrically opposite. in that one she played the sweet, innocent loving and accidental prone girl. one usually felt like shielding the girl. it was simple, lively and sweet character on the first half and a dutiful wife and daughter in law in the second half. with this show she even managed to showcase her comic timing, which i must say is really good. coming to naina- i've always said i like this character coz it is different, different from the usual set image of good girls in ekta kapoor's show. i dont know what the future holds for naina coz that department belongs to ekta and her writers but the actress whose playing it will surely do a good job. i love her dialogue delivery in the court scenes and that jeet ka nasha scene also love the soft and childlike side of hers when she is around DJ.
c) For expressions, dialogue delivery, voice modulation and body language. these four are major like seriously major, major important things for an actor and sanjeeda is absolutely brilliant in emoting via expressions and body language and she manages the modulation of voice pretty well and her dialogue delivery is good too, its sounds clear and and since her diction is good it only enhances the delivery and it helps her when her character requires to say certain lines fast or slow. and there is a saying that no one is perfect in the world even she is not perfect. one can always keep on getting better and i am sure she too wll keep on getting better and better in all these areas and more.
ok that was pretty long lol but sanjeeda is a versatile actress. from comedy to something dark, to something sweet-lively to something girl-next-door-ish, to the typical k-serial bahu/beti heroine to something grey to something totally negative she managed it all well and it always feels good writing something abt her acting or dancing. she sure is an awesomely talented woman. may god bless u always girl.
