| Ekta Kapoor to launch her TV channel This is not just another feather in Ekta Kapoor's cap. Launching her channel is the biggest and the most expensive step that Ekta could have taken. The buzz is that after the success of Kahani Humare Mahabharat Ki , Ekta Kapoor was ready to take up a bigger challenge. "For the past 8 months Ekta Kapoor has been living, eating and breathing Mahabharat. It is the most expensive show that Balaji has ever produced. Thankfully it's received well by the viewers," says a Balaji source. With almost 12 shows on air and some in the making, extending the roots was the most inevitable step in Ekta's career. The rumors about her launching her channel have been floating around since the past two years. "Back then it was just a germ and not an idea. But now the work on its launch has started in full swing." According to the sources, the launch will happen only next year. Some big names of the film industry are supposedly involved in the channel. We spoke to Ekta about this development in her golden career. "Yes, we've started work on it. The channel has been my biggest dream. I'm excited and hoping that we'll come up with some really good work." Beyond this the lady didn't want to divulge any more details.
