I have never been a huge fan of Kundali Bhagya because of its habit of stretching everything. I am sure Preeta and Karan was sat on that Mandap for a week! đ then she has been sat outside their house for another week...
Seriously, why stretch the storyline so long. I am generally a patient person, but this show is sometimes the limit.
I randomly watched an episode where Preeta decided that enough is enough and she will save the Luthraâs from the vamps. She was so determined and she even made her efforts to fulfil her goal. Then what happened? She was left crying... I donât get it. Preeta is an educated woman, she must know of her basic rights when it comes to marriages. How could she have not there and then stood up for herself? Instead she was shown asking for permission from her mother-in-law, who I think kicked her out because she wants Karan to bring her home. It was because Karan was quiet that his mother didnât believe that Preeta should have been there.
I am usually open to accepting that every character has its own way of dealing with its existence. It paves itâs own path and makes its own decisions. It doesnât make sense though how a girl who sat in her mandap was so willing and determined to make this marriage become the force that will save the family. Of course, peopleâs strength fluctuate and we can go from being very strong to being extremely weak. But within a matter of hours (since we are still to assume it is all happening on the same day still) Preeta has suddenly become this weak character.
The writers have gone mad. They could have established Preeta really as this strong individual. But no, for the sake of stretching the drama, they changed the dynamic of her character within seconds.
Thereâs still hope, I suppose. I do hope that she will show up at the door asking for her rights and that she doesnât actually let people mistreat her, especially not Karan. But we all know this is a fantasy đ
