I stopped watching this show a while back

but when or how did Prithvi fall in love with Preeti

I don't exactly remember. But in the beginning he found her a behenji, and then he was just lusting after her I suppose coz she was sweet and pretty and all.

Then eventually, that sort of became love too. People could argue that it is still lust. But I sort of disagree. Coz he hasn't been lusting after her in recent times, as in the past one year or even more. I think he genuinely likes her but he is a bad guy and there's no denying that. However considering the "hero's" amazingly insane good behaviour, I'd pick Prithvi for Preeta over Karan, simply coz Prithvi wouldn't hurt Preeta. And Karan feeds on hurting her. I didn't see the episode today or yesterday. But the previous day when she said yeah she'll stay close to him and dragged him back to the function he was actually smiling and he was happy. He's some sadistic freak, who derives immense pleasure when his ego is satisfied and others feel pained

I do agree with you prithvi is a bad guy but at this point Karan is same as him. Personally I don’t ship Preeta with anyone in the show but def not Karan anymore.

Is there any specific episode where prithvi admits he likes loves her because that’s where I left off watching the show

@bold..... true. his smile was very strange. i really got confused what is he smiling at. he really seemed evil at that time. they have really turned karan into a grey shaded lead. or should i say 'dark grey'. someone like maya from beyhadh season-1 (minus murders). he is a grey shaded anti-hero lead character in true sense.

but remember arjun ended up with saanjh. not maya. though maya was the lead.

Yes, yes there is actually, it was a very odd episode, Prithvi primarily keeps denying to himself that he infact likes Preeta let alone has any affection towards her, but then he basically starts fighting with Sherlyn for her. It was actually soon after Sherlyn's pregnancy in episode 270 (23rd July 2018)Prithvi essentially starts getting jealous regarding Preeta, and by episode 280 (6th August 2018) which was basically the continuation of the same day in the show, Prithvi for the first time feels uncomfortable with the idea of NOT being able to get married to Preeta.

Prithvi actually has tried to harm Preeta (although he was shown to feel really guilty and awfully bad about it) but at the end of the day he did try to harm her the day she came to the Luthra house post Rishabh's wedding and wanted to meet Karan and tell him the truth, Prithvi poured oil on the staircase so that Preeta falls off the stairs and goes into 'coma'. Incidentally, Preeta does fall of the stairs however, she is saved by Rishabh and one of the more symbolic AF dialogues were exchanged between Rishabh and Preeta, while she walks up to Karan's room.
