I wish that the two couples progressed together. So we could have seen both relationships actually progressing and it wouldn't have mattered who Preeta would have ended up with. As since only Karan and Preeta's relationship has progressed in the past year, from two people who hated each other, to partners in crime(well against crime), to best friends, to possible lovers beginning to question their feelings, Rishabh just seems out of place. His feelings seem lowkey creepy in my opinion, or it did today when Rishabh placed his arm around Preeta. Maybe it was just how the scene was edited, but the way he wasn't confident and was slowly yet still intentionally putting his hand around her didn't seem innocent but rather plain awkward.(No hate at all to Manit Joura, I like his other scenes, I think its just the way the RishTa relationship has been written)
I know CVs are hinting at Rishabh and Shristi, but if Preeta and Rishabh do end up married, I think at this point will be just off-putting.Preeta closeness with Karan and comfort level about that closeness is unmatchable with any of her other relationships (whether it be with Prithvi, or RIshabh). They've been in a lot of compromising positions with each other. I'm not put off by multiple relationships, whether it be a guy or a girl, but the fact is Rishabh and Karan are brothers. With Preeran...They've both been jealous of each other's respective partners. They've both complimented each other's looks (and personalities) and have both admitted how much each other's opinions means to them. If Preeta and Rishabh do marry, and somehow Preeta only feels platonically for Karan, she'll still be closer to Karan than Rishabh for a good part of that marriage. Even if they stop talking due to Karan sacrificing his love and hurting Preeta, Karan knows Preeta more than she knows herself, he can read her mind at times. Their bond, since the writers have taken the time to actually develop it, still will be stronger technically. So far only Shrishti, and Kritika know about them, (also Prithvi and Sherlin lowkey talk about their relationship too) but no proper grownups and since its an Ekta show,RishTa engagement will happen for sure.
All we've seen from Rishabh and Preeta, is her helping the Luthra family and him admiring her. Preeta still sees him as the sensible guy, with a heart full of gold,as she saw him when she first met him. She still calls him Rishabhji. He still calls her Preetaji (as does Prithvi, if anyone's noticed). The only progression has been that Mahesh, Preeta's dadi and Shrishti have noticed his feelings. Preeta's completely out of the loop about his feelings (but also she literally has been dumbed down this recent year from being the smart physiotherapist she was).
