Preeta's feelings

Firstly they are showing Preeta as a simple, innocent girl who always listens to her parents. She was willing to marry Deepak, to fulfil her father's last wish. Secondly, unlike Shristi, Preeta doesn't dream big for herself. Being from a small town and also struggling with money at the start of the show, we see Preeta really family oriented, in the way that she was willing to sleep hungry, so Shrishti gets food. Preeta is rational, and doesn't dream big. We've seen that since the start of the show. Preeta knows she middle-class, which she reiterates to Kareena countless times.

That being said, love and attraction doesn't look at class before it happens, it just happens.

I think CVs began to push Preeta's feelings a bit more after Karan saving Preeta's mum. Although we saw slight hints at attraction before, like Rishabh's engagement, I think it was after Karan saving Preeta's mum was when Preeta began to respect Karan. Although not important in being attracted to someone, respect is important when you fall in love with someone.

So not in chronological order, but what we've seen after this is:

-Preeta getting offended that Karan wasn't happy at the prospect of Preeta returning to the Luthra house.

-Preeta unconsciously talking about about Karan to Karan's dadi. She says "kabhi toh lagte hai ki duniye ke sabse accha insaan hai, or kabhi sabse bura". Meaning that Karan's actions greatly affect her.

-Preeta calling Karan cute.

-Preeta getting so lost in Karan in the sprinkler scene, that she didn't see Sherlin running away with the hooded guy. Why I'm talking about Preeta in this scene is because she was the one with the direct view of Sherlin's room, finding the truth affects her more and also the background music started with the woman's voice rather the normal starting point of Sajda.

-Sajda using the female voice as the start once more, in the car sequence. She again equally got lost in Karan.

-Preeta looking upset when seeing Karan's sad face after Prithvi accepted her proposal, enough to leave the room.

-When Karan said "jaan-ne se bhi na na-injan bano", after Prithvi accepted Preeta's proposal, Preeta was the one saying "What can I do? It's too late". In my pov, it was her having the flashbacks, because she basically confessed there was someone between Preeta and Karan, even if she never promised Karan anything.

-Preeta talking about she can even take of Karan's shirt if she wants to.

There's probably much more scenes, especially key scenes that I've missed. I know I haven't talked about Preeta not shying away from Karan's closeness in comparison to other people's, but if I begin talking about that, I won't stop.😆

All in all, Preeta slowly, but surely is falling for Karan. Like Karan, she unconciously thinks there is something special between them. I think it will take longer for her to realise and accept the feeling more than Karan, because of who she is.
