The story is set after Sarla brings rishta at Luthra house and gets humiliated by kareena although karan handled the situation before things got worse and so the confusion got cleared and Sarla left.
Karan meets Preeta after it.

"Im sorry karan for watever happened " Preeta said getting embarrassed.
Karan felt shes still sad.
"Come on Preeta Why r u feeling sorry it was just a confusion that got cleared ...not a big deal" Karan tried to bring smile to her face.
But she was in no mood today.
Preeta looked down n started walking.
He too walked along.
"U dont know how I am feeling. ...karan ...Kareena bua was right. ...how can we think of an alliance in your family. "

It was enough for him to bear ...he cud not see her losing her self like this.Preeta was a fighter and now she thought of herself as a loser.

Preeta was surprised at his words cz usually karan luthra never admits that she's important to him but now today he poured out his heart to her...n she saw he wasnot in a playful mood ...he looked serious and each word he uttered kept coming from his heart.
Karan kept speaking and Preeta's lost smile was back.
"Bas Ab itni tareef mat karo warna Mujhe diabetes hojayegi"
"Karan luthra aur itna sweet...ye kuch ajeeb lgta h "
She said hitting his head.
Karan was relieved to find her smile back.
