A hunch where the story is headed to

For those blaming Preeta for Rishabh's fate, Preeta NEVER, not even for a second in all the 50 episodes aired till now showed any sign of attraction or any feeling towards Rishabh other than Respect. She infact told him point blank that she considered him a very good friend. Infact when Rishabh blurted out that she was very beautiful, she was taken aback for a second but then later on he modified his statement. It was Rishabh and Rishabh alone who brought himself into his now helpless situation. Everything was in his favour right from the beginning, his family instantly fell for Preeta and especially his mother loves preeta so much. He could have easily confessed his feelings for her infront of his mother if not preeta herself and she could have talked to Preeta. He is only making the situation worse now. For Karan is falling for her and somewhere she too is. Not to forget Sherlyn stucked in all these. But i think he'll call off his engagement with her once he finds out she's behind the food poisoning. And under all these pressure, he'll confess his feelings for Preeta finally. That's what i have been thinking. But i don't want Karan to suffer for Rishabh's miscalculated thinking. But i have a strong feeling that is exactly where to story is going. I so badly want Karan-Preeta to end up together, especially after yesterday's episode. They are so adorable together. The way he cared for her and her smiling, looking at him tending to her finger. It was too good. They belong together. But it's an indian drama, once you get married to someone, no matter how incompatible or vile or even abusive the husband is, there's no going back until you change that person and finally make him fall in love with you. So i sincerely hope, preeta doesn't get married to Rishabh...cause if that happens i think they will be the endgame which sadly i am not in her.

If Karan and preeta fall in love anytime soon, their marriage isn't happening and the end game will be rishabh and preeta. Ekta believes love happens after marriage lol so won't make the couple fall in love before marriage and that is why I don't want Karan and preeta falling for eachother until they get married.

Thats what I'm worried about. EK can regress the characters and make PreeRan's love fickle if it happens too quickly. She can take the Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam route, the movie with Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Ajay Devgan, where the girls falls in love with a guy before marriage and longs for him, until she realises she's in love with her husband.
But I think there may be a big misunderstanding before PreeRan confess their love for each other.
-They have the route that she interferes him from playing cricket for his health concerns, making him bitter.
-They have the route that Karan finds out about Rishabh's feelings and makes her think his love for her was all a prank.
-They have the route that Preeta says yes to marrying Rishabh, but on the wedding day Karan has to step in.
-They can even do the IPKKND route, where he marries the girl thinking she's ruining his sister's (or in this case brother's life), where Deepak might come into play.

I personally hope Preeta and Karan end up together. If RishTa happen, although I'd still wish the best for the show, since all the actors have won me over by their acting, I'll have to stop watching it.

Exactly that's what scares me, they are obviously falling for each other. The pace at which their story is going someone needs to be a speedbreaker before they confess to each other. I think that is where Rishabh comes in. All that is somewhat understandable and predictable but if that happens it also means she may end up marrying Rishabh which is gonna be a huge turnoff for me. They may look good together but not better than Karan-Preeta. Also, Rishabh is kinda getting irritating with all the "staring at Preeta anytime" scenes. Also how others don't notice that except for Sherlyn and bua is beyond my thought. Also yesterday while he was trying to tell his mother the truth, the explanation that she came up with completely went over my head! All his scenes comprises of him either staring at Preeta or thinking about her or praising her. It's like there is no other person in his world. He doesn't interact with anyone other than Preeta or himself and sometimes with Karan. The rest are like non existent to him.

I agree with you. Rishabh's scenes are one-dimensional and a bit fickle, despite him being a complex character. No credit being taken away from Manit, he's a fabulous actor, I think its just the way Rishabh's character is written atm. All his scenes comprise of him praising Preeta, or wondering to God why he can't be with Preeta. Which I wouldn't mind, except Preeta and Rishabh haven't had substantial moments leading up to his love, so it seems like a schoolboy crush to me who is in love with Preeta's outer-personality and beauty. As in Rishabh doesn't see the Preeta that Karan and the viewers see. The one who gives fitting replies. The one who playfully flirts before proving her argument. The one who herself twists back the guy's arm. She's may be sweet and simple, but she's fierce and playful too. How would Rishabh react to that side of Preeta? I also agree with you opinion on Rakhi's explanation not making sense. I was confused at her reasoning.

You spoke my mind! I think what Rishabh feels for her is infatuation. She has a side completely different from what Rishabh has seen. You know like the front you put up when interacting with normal people in general (like your older relatives, people you don't know that well, people you met for the first time etc) as opposed to the one only people closest to you know (like your boyfriend, bestfriends). And that is your true self. The self you can show completely without feeling uncomfortable, embarrassed or subject to judgement. I don't think Rishabh will relate much to that side of her. Like when she was giving Karan the karela ka juice and said "ab maza ayega" or something, Rishabh was confused and she gave him a different explanation. I actually like it when all three of them are together and Rishabh acts like a teacher, the matured person that he is and tries to reason with the two of them. It'd be so much better that way. He's like the elder brother looking out for the two.

Whatever happens there's going to be twists, turns, heartbreak, angst - PreeRan are a PASSIONATE couple - they will be able to do justice to the scenario's - but I don't think RishTa marriage will happen - mayb an engagement - if EK does marriage i'll stop watching.
She's biuilding PreeRan to break them 😆 ...isn't that what happens in drama's between the main couple to keep their story deeveloping?

It seems to me that they might as well stick up a sign saying 'Preeta and Karan', because that's what we have. It's so clichd I eye-roll whenever I see them together.
The whole show is so odd. What annoys me the most is that she acts as if she's 15 around Karan. I'm like, this is impossible. She's got to be around 27, at least. That scene with those girls was pathetic. They were young girls, who just needed to be ignored, but no, they have her behaving exactly like them! I face-palmed.
The characterisation of Preeta needs to be better drawn, just like Rishabh's.

Haha..hope your prediction turns out true. And same here, if Rishabh-Preeta happens i'll quit watching it too. I've not watched too a many indian soaps with love triangles set in such backgrounds neither much of the films referenced. So i am completely blank regarding the endgame.

There are two sides to every person. They are just trying to portray that through her. Yes, it might be cliched but isn't every other indian soap? Let's face it, you can't expect a "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" or "How i Met your Mother" or "Sex and the City" from Indian Television. Majority of the audiences won't be able to relate to it. Also let's not forget the moral police everywhere. And about the scene where the girls forced themselves on Karan, Preeta's reaction was shown merely for the purpose of fun and i don't know about others, i found it quite funny. I guess everyone has a childish side to them which never dies. You can't always put up a serious facade to go with your age. Every character from "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" were between 26-30 and each one of them did very childish antics and said childish things. And look at them. Till now even after 23 years it's the No. 1 show and most loved show of all times across so many countries. Indian tv dramas are always about girls sacrificing everything for their husband, keeping their husbands first before themselves and all the crap that follow. Even in this 21st century, it's no different. So why don't you like it if she defends herself and puts up a good fight infront of Karan. That proves they are equal to one another and it's not always "thank you" and "sorry". Also those saying with Rishabh, it'll be different...there have been shows like that. So it's not about something new. At the end of the day it's all about CHEMISTRY.
