Hi,
I'm following this show from quite some time now. And sometimes, I visit this forum as well. But, I noticed that it's completely divided into two fandoms. Like, two separate forums in a forum.
So, I just wanted to ask, isn't there any one who ships both the couple? For me, when I started watching it, I was more bent towards RishTa, but then, after seeing some PreeRan scenes, I shifted to them cause I felt they'll make a more passionate couple and have more chemistry but then again I saw some earlier episodes, especially the one where Preeta is accused of stealing the jewel and how Rishabh takes a stand for her and how Karan reacts. And, right now, I'm confused. So, I ship both of them as of now.
I've many things to say about both the main leads and their equation with Preeta but I guess, there's a been a lot of talk about it already. And also, cause it's too early to completely form on opinion about a character. So, I'll just say that both the couples have the potential and equal potential. While, Rishabh and Preeta's story can be simple, beautiful, emotional yet passionate, Karan and Preeta's story can be thrilling and passionate and intense. Whereas Rishta's story would be more real, soothing, it would be interesting to watch how PreeRan would have their love story thereafter cause it's more difficult. I think, if Rishabh had not fallen for Preeta that early, and his character was a bit more layered, they could have been beautiful together. And if, Karan's character was a bit more responsible and mature and again a little more layered too, they would have a sparkling chemistry.
But no, none of them is I think, forms a whole of a character, alone. Like, something is missing from both of them. Like, they both compliment each other! More than they compliment Preeta (Rishabh and Karan kind of complete each other, be it from their flaws or qualities).
However, I want this triangle to stay for atleast some time until one of the couple actually in true sense overpowers the other. Although, I guess, somewhere everybody knows, PreeRan's gonna be the endgame as Zee is promoting PreeRan and the way the story is heading in that direction (Also, I know it's a tried and tested formula of Indian Tv and they wouldn't experiment much or risk).
But still, I want to kinda explore both the couples, both the stories. Ofcourse, there would be an endgame with one couple but not without giving both of them an equal chance. Both the characters and their story deserves justice. Also because, this story looks like the story of three individuals more than simply a couple. There's no PreeRan without Rishabh and there's no RishTa without Karan. Though, I'm not a fan of Twilight but I don't mind if it ends up something like, Edward-bella-Jacob.
So, as of now, I enjoy both the couples' scenes though I wouldn't mind a bit of more RishTa in the coming week as PeeRan's being there for a long time now. I don't mind any couple being the end game as long as their story and chemistry is good in the end of course.
Also, I think, if makers are careful, even Shrishti and Sameer's love story can be beautiful after knowing the Sameer's adoption. It can be emotional and really intense only if they carefully layer the characters and give them a bit more depth. It would be interesting to watch how a person like Shristi whose a bit selfish and realistic (unlike the typical far from reality female leads of Indian soaps) would be like in all the emotional scenes and fall for a guy truly and support him emotionally.
