Previously : Kumkum doesn't talk to Nidhi & sticks to Henna & Verni for the whole day. Nidhi gets injured, Kumkum doesn't talk to her, both of them feel sad.

SCENE 14

Kumkum is the last one to leave the laboratory; Henna and Verni are waiting outside for her. 😳When Kumkum comes out, she notices Sumit standing with a bunch of boys at a small distance from the door. 🤔She ignores them and quickly walks away from them; just then Sumit's voice reaches her ears.

Sumit (speaking loudly on purpose, so that Kumkum can hear him) : aajkal dosti ke maayne hi badal gaye hain....logon ke liye dosti bas ek formality ban ke reh gayi hai....

Kumkum stops in her tracks and listens to whatever Sumit is saying. Sumit notices her abrupt halt and increases his volume a bit more.

Sumit : log sirf apne svaarth ke liye dosti karte hain...aur jab apna kaam nikal jaata hai toh apne so-called "doston" ko yun hi chhod dete hain.....aise logon ko koi farak nahi padhta agar unke doston ko chot lagti hai ya khoon nikalta hai.....kaise ehsaan-faramosh log hote hain is duniya mein.....jisne bachpan se saath nibhaya, musibat ke samay usi ko chhod diya....hey bhagwaan....kya ho raha hai aajkal is duniya ko....ab toh tu hi sahara hai....

Kumkum gets very angry on hearing all this. She turns around and goes where Sumit is standing with his friends. She faces him, with her arms crossed, tears in her eyes and anger on her face.

Kumkum (angrily) : tumhe jo bhi kehna hai seedha seedha kaho...ye ghuma fira kar baatein kyun kar rahe ho??

Sumit (smug) : seedha seedha...ghuma fira kar.....tum kya keh rahi ho mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha...

Kumkum : tumhe achhi tarah se samajh aa raha hai ki main kya keh rahi hoon....zyaada anjaan banne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai Mr. Chhuchhandar...

Sumit (pretending he doesn't know anything) : anjaan....main....nahi toh...

Kumkum : dekho....mere paas faltoo waqt nahi hai jo main tumhare upar barbaad kar sakoon...jo kehna hai saaf saaf kaho....meri peeth peechhe baatein banaane ki jagah mere muh pe kaho...

Sumit (grinning slightly) : maine toh tumhara naam liya hi nahi chhipkali...fir bhi tumhe lagta hai ki main tumhare baare mein baat kar raha hoon...iska matlab ki tum maanti ho ki voh ehsaan-faramosh dost tum hi ho...jisne apni dost ko musibat ke waqt akele chhod diya....

Kumkum (on the verge of crying) : haan....haan maine apni dost ko akele chhod diya....aur jaante ho kyun...tumhari vajah se....haan sahi suna tumne....tumhari vajah se....

Sumit is shocked. He did not expect Kumkum to turn tables on him. He gets angry.

Sumit (angrily) : meri vajah se.....kya matlab hai meri vajah se????......maine tumse kaha tha ki tum apni dost ke paas mat jaao....usse door raho...

Kumkum : tumne kaha kuch nahi chhachhundar....bas kiya...

Sumit : kya kiya hai maine jo tum is tarah sab ke saamne mujh par chilla rahi ho??

Kumkum : main bataati hoon tumhe ki tumne kya kiya hai....tumhare saath experiment kar rahi thi na Nidhi....tum itna bhi dhyaan nahi de sakte the us par...usse chot lagi aur tumhe pata bhi nahi chala...

Sumit : excuse me Miss chhipkali...usse chot tumhari vajah se lagi hai...

Kumkum : meri vajah se???

Sumit : jee haan....agar tum usse ignore nahi karti toh uss se kabhi test-tube nahi toot ti...

Kumkum : agar tum uske saath din bhar chipke nahi rehte....toh main usse ignore nahi karti...

Sumit : agar tum din bhar auron ke saath nahi rehti....toh main din bhar uske saath nahi ghoomta....

Kumkum : agar subah tum uske saath class mein nahi baithte....toh main auron ke saath nahi rehti....

Sumit : agar tum subah uske saath hoti...toh main uske saath nahi baithta...

Kumkum : agar tum hamare beech mein nahi aate....toh main subah uske saath hoti...

Sumit : nahi...agar tum gaadi mein aa jaati...toh tum uske saath hoti...lekin nahi....tumhe toh aona ego pyara hai naa...

Kumkum (crying now) : ego my foot....Nidhi se badh kar mere liye kuch nahi hai...hum dono bachpan se ek saath rahe hain...ek hi school..ek hi college...hamari dosti itni gehri hai ki tum soch bhi nahi sakte Mr.chhachhundar...aur tumne issi dosti mein daraar paida karne ki koshish ki...sharam aani chahiye tumhe....(controlling herself)....lekin iss mein tumhari bhi koi galti nahi hai...agar tumhare paas koi dost hota toh tumhe dosti ki keemat pata chalti naa...meri aur Nidhi ki dosti tumhari mohtaj nahi hai Mr.Sumit Wadhwa...main apni dost ke paas jaa rahi hoon....aur main jaanti hoon ki mere bina kuch kahe hi voh mujhe samajh jaayegi...

Without saying another word, Kumkum turned and left for the medical aid room. Henna and Verni standing beside her followed. Sumit was silent, pondering over whatever Kumkum just said. Without talking to anybody, he also left the corridor. He went to the back garden of the college, where there were very less intruders, and he remembered his conversation with Ash, Rach and Jatin the previous night.

*******Flashback********

Ash : dekh Sumit....agar tujhe uss ladki se badla lena hai toh sabse pehle usse todhna hoga...

Rach : kuch bhi mat bol Ash...voh koi plastic ka khilona nahi hai jo Sumit usse zameen pe fenk ke todh dega...

Ash : Rach...kabhi kabhi dimaag aur zabaan dono ko aaraam dena achha hota hai...isliye tu chup ho jaa...

Rach : dekh main...

Sumit : offo....ab tum log apni behes band karoge...

Ash : haan haan....haan toh main ye keh rahi thi ki tujhe uss ladki ko...kya naam hai uska...

Sumit : chhipkali...

Rach : chhipkali....ye kaisa ajeeb sa naam hai???

Ash silences Rach with her threatning eyes.

Ash : voh jo bhi hai...tujhe uski kamzori dhoondni hogi aur uska faayda uthaana hoga...

Sumit : kamzori???

Ash : haan kamzori...koi aisi cheez ya insaan jis se usse behad lagaav ho...jiske bina voh tadape...

Sumit : voh toh sirf ek hi insaan ho sakti hai...

Ash & Rach together : Kaun???

Sumit : uski best friend...Nidhi...

Ash : tujhe kaise pata ki voh uski best friend hai...aur voh uski kamzori hai???

Sumit : arre aaj subah uss chhipkali ne jhagda kiya hi apni dost ki vajah se tha....usse khud toh koi problem nahi thi...ab agar koi shaks kisi aur ke liye poori duniya se ladh jaaye toh voh toh uske kareeb hi hoga naa....

Ash : perfect!!!!...toh bas fir tu issi baat ka faayda utha...usse uski dost se alag kar de...

Sumit smiles and nods. Meanwhile Jatin was listening to all this, even though they were talking in whispers. He comes inside.

Jatin : Sumit...

Sumit : jee bhaiyyaa...

Jatin : ye theek nahi hai...

Sumit : kya theek nahi hai??

Jatin : yahi jo tum Kumkum aur Nidhi ke saath karne jaa rahe ho...

Sumit : bhaiyyaa....aapne...

Jatin : haan....maine sab sun liya...aur main tumhe aisa kuch nahi karne doonga college mein...

Ash : arre bhaiyya plzzz.....aisa mat kahiye naa...Sumit kuch galat nahi karne jaa raha....aap plz usse mat rokiye...

Rach : haan bhaiyyaa...aur vaise bhi Sumit ab badha ho gaya hai....voh jaanta hai ki usse kya karna hai kya nahi...

Jatin : theek hai...tum logon ko jo theek lagta hai tum karo....main nahi rokunga....lekin meri baat yaad rakhna....ye bahut galat hai...aur iska ehsaas tumhe bahut jald hoga...

*******Flashback ends********

Sumit (sitting in the garden, thinking) : Jatin bhaiyya ne sahi kaha tha....hum ne bahut galat kiya hai Kumkum aur Nidhi ke saath....voh dono pakki dost hain...aur maine...mujhe toh soch kar bhi darr lagta hai ki agar aisa kuch mere, Rach aur Ash ke saath hua hota toh....hey bhagwaan....pehli baar mujhe apne hi kisi faisle par pachhtaawa ho raha hai...

He feels guilty, uncertain of what to do next. Suddenly his mind clears, all confusion is gone, now he knows what to do. He gets up and moves towards the medical aid room with an unsurpassable determination on his face.
