Maverick Productions and The Fair One Filmfare Awards

Anuj Saxena is a TV hottie and recently he has pocketed lead role in the film 'Lips - The Kiss of Death'. He has also launched his production house 'Maverick' to churn out TV-Film projects and entertainment events. Now, his Maverick Productions has another feather to its cap. It is going to produce curtain raisers for 'The Fair One Filmfare Awards 2005'. Fair One is sponsoring the Filmfare awards in its 51st year in 2005 and for at least another two years thereafter. Anuj Saxena's Maverick Productions is doing a host of programs for "The Fair One Film fare Awards 2005", which is being sponsored by Elder Pharma (Anuj's family business).
All programs will be done in association with Sony Entertainment Television. Maverick's first show, Khiladi No 1 is already on air on Zee Smile. Maverick has made more than ten ad films. The most prominent being Tiger Balm, A.M. P.M. mouthwash and Fair One, which are on air. Maverick would be making a foray into film production soon.
Javed Jaffery and Gaurav Gera would be anchoring the curtain raisers. Javed Jaffery would be playing the character from Salaam Namaste. Gaurav Gera will play his assistant who is a wannabe music director. In a special three-hour flash back episode to be aired on 19th Feb, the conception of the awards and cinema over the years will be shown.
The nominees for 'The Fair One Face of the Year' award to be given by Elder Pharma and presented by Sony Entertainment Channel. The nominees are 'Vidya Balan, Minissha Lamba, Sneha Ullal, Katrina Kaif and Tanishaa'. Popular actor-dancer Javed Jaffery will interview each nominee in each episode of the curtain raiser that will be aired from 20th to 24th of February. This mammoth event of awards will be held on 25th February in Mumbai. The winner of Fair One face of the year would be announced at the awards night.
