Pragya*Prachi and Abhi*Rhea - Page 2

Viewers have rejected reboot. It's their choice.

Lol... Viewers rejected making khichdi out of abhigya story and making irrelevant people part of it. Ratings were on the rise for 1st 3 weeks of the reboot. So I wouldn't say rejected.

In the beginning, Pragya had a sister called Bulbul.. played by Mrunal Thakur, later on, they changed it to another actress.. same with Purab.. and their fans called the couple Rabul.. they tried long and hard to ‘show’ that Rabul brought trps to this show rather than Abhigya.. well, along with time, it can be seen who are still in the show and continue to carry it on their shoulders till the very end, and who have left it for greener pastures. 😳

Edit: Congrats to the TM, I think, ( pls correct me if I am wrong) but this thread is the 1st one in a long time, to bring both the couples fandom together. 👍🏼

Purab was changed twice but character of bulbul ended and was replaced by a new character called disha.

And yes, mrunal left the show for greener pastures but i think it is working out quite well for her as well as the show.

As far as characters go for some reason being parents didn't work for abhi pragya and they will always have a star crossed love story which includes them having flaws otherwise where will the drama come from. Makers want to focus on their love or hatred and that might not be logical but has this show ever been?!

But i feel they aren't carrying the track as well as they should, they have made a khichdi.

Its been 7 years and still expecting the couple to be lovers only?

What about progression in the story?

7 years as tv couple and still be childless?

To me, the current track has clarified two things:

The show will revolve around Abhigya as it always has been, whether we like it or not. Else they could have carried on with Pragya in Australia, Abhi's downfall, and Pranbir's married life for a few weeks before taking the leap if needed.

Pranbir and the rest of the DP cast are part of the show and here to stay, whether we like it or not. Else they would now be assumed happily married in London / somewhere else.

At the moment the makers do need to get the balance between the two stories right... To me yesterdays episode was a balanced one with decent movement in both the stories, unlike 3-4 days of each story.

An added constraint for them is that at present they don't want to have any connection between the two stories. That, to me, is the only reason Pragya is not shown thinking about her daughters.

Perhaps they will connect them later on... or perhaps they wont. Since Prachi does think about her parents my guess is they do intend to combine the two stories later on. But i don't expect it to happen until mu between Abhi and Pragya is cleared... which may take a long time.

Ok, didn’t keep up with the show after a point of time, plus I also tried to persuade a friend to stop watching this show for her own sanity..😊 MT is free to do as she wishes, great that it worked out for her.

Completely agree with you, they can’t keep showing only and only Abhigya, and have the story revolve only around them, but this trp credit has to be given to everybody, not just A or B particular couples. I was an earlier fan of the show, so used to get irritated with this constant fights for trp credit.

Apologies for cutting short your post, I don’t have the slightest idea on the current status of the show, so hence can’t respond to the other valid points you have made.

Viewers did not reject the reboot . They rejected what followed. TRPs on the rise since reboot happened. Only once they started focusing on other not so interesting tracks involving other people , the trps dropped.

If they want to give some story to 2nd Gen , some drama is needed , they cannot make it so boring.

If you don’t mind my quoting you, ( I like the way, how people are arguing without quoting, I don’t have that talent, sorry 😛) the makers will show whatever they think will increase the ratings. So if Abhigya being careless parents increases it, then so be it, and if the ratings tank very badly, Abhigya may be shown caring about their daughters.

Kkb has never been about progression in story. 😊Its the LAST show on earth that has been consistent about progression. Its just careless, haphazard story telling.. Tanu was shown pregnant for more than a year, just so she could be the kabab main haddi between Abhigya.. I remember there were so many posts expressing disgust, mocking this very fact. The writers were changed many times, so they never kept track of what the previous writers wrote. So we got this long, never ending tracks of kidnappings, separation, divorce, reunion and marriage.

EK has been very clear from day 1 with KKB, that she will show what she feels the audience will get hooked onto, not what they want to see.. as a result of which some diehard fans gave up and stopped watching the show. So if it’s childless with or without having children, so be it.. whatever works. 👍🏼
