we saw their character graphs since beginning. I don't think writers are in mood to butcher them.

I was just kidding about the slap part. Prachi will never do something like that to Ranbir. But bringing the kumkum connection at that point wouldn't get any result. So may be it is better to say it when she is not pissed off.
