His scolding towards prachi was intentionally mild. He worded his scolding just enough to please and calm rhea, but without wanting to assert too much of a boss-like authority with prachi so that prachi doesn't feel like she can't treat him like a friend, hence why he said she can talk to him like this but not with rhea. He wanted to protect prachi from rhea's insults.

Yeah it would drive him crazy if she really did stop talking to him. 😆😳

By the time the bet is revealed he'd be so madly in love with prachi that he would be in a lot of pain with prachi hating him.
