There was some depth,substance and emotion to it.

I think you are correct. It was very serious fight. Ranbir seems to take prachi for granted and has not been able to realise his feelings as she doesn't talk with any boys and hence hasn't felt insecure and further they always don't have serious conversation. But yesterday was different.
