First of all, TRP is calculated only from Urban impressions, not from Rural... So channels are always compete to perform better in urban areas... Ad sponsors are always like to promote their products in urban areas rather than rural... They will get higher profit form urban areas...So they invest bigger amount of money only in promoting the products urban charts...

For example : For Hair Oil ad costs Rs.10000 in Urban topped channel for their 30 sec prime time slot and Rs.500-1000 for Rural topped channel for their 30 sec prime time slot...

Ad sponsors mostly focus what are the programs performs better in prime slots in urban charts, so they can bid huge sum of money to get their respective ad slots...

PS : I have read one article before regarding this, but i didn't get that link now...

Pls check below article for an example.. it gives better understanding on how Zee and Zee Anmol are different for advertisers as well as broadcasters for urban and rural segments, when it comes to ad revenues and subscriptions.

Also new shows on GEC's and rerun of old shows on FTA channels get treated separately by advertisers. Most of the shows that are in rural top 10 charts are re-runs of archived shows but not fresh shows.

Thanks, Praveen. Interesting even if impression #'s are going down, even after it dropped from 2.7 last week to 2.6 this week, kkb is still #1.

Maybe other fiction shows are not even going to try to beat kkb so kkb is leading. And it looks like kkb writers don't want to try to beat reality show ratings because they're more popular. Interesting Jamai Raja is back on the charts!!

As far as ratings dropping last week, Munbhi trying to get married is a huge turn off. I guess the ratings are as high as 2.66 because Sriti is playing Munni. If they had brought another actress to play that character, show would have gone below 2.0.

If ratings have to increase above 3.0, Pragya has to have more screen space with Abhi. Then what will Munni do?

Prani..!! This slight drop in impressions is because of the KBC launch... Now KKB got a strong slot competitor for next few months... After KBC launch I was expected atleast 500+ drop in impressions in KKB, but still KKB managed to sustain with slight drop of 200+...

Now a days it is not an easy task for any daily show to get 3+ TRP... Only highly intense episodes can able to achieve 3+ TRP... In KKB, Episodes like Pragya and Munni confrontation, Abhi's confusion after seeing Pragya and Munni together, Abhi knowing Munni's truth can helps KKB to fetch 3+ TRPs...
