Good morning everybody !!!! đ
PRAGYA ZINDA HAI !!!!đ â¤ď¸That was the best news pertaining to this show in the last however many God forsaken weeks since she was shot.
Sahiti, you deserve the honors of being the bearer of this fantastic news today for meâ¤ď¸. I was taking care of some logistics this AM and looked at the forum to get an update and your post was there. Although, I didn't understand what you were saying at the time, now I know. So here is a large Kahlua cheese cake from the Cheese cake factory, rasgullas from K.C. Das, a pint each of chocolate and coffee ice cream from Haagen Daz, a dozen orders of tiramisu and oh yes, our girl's favorite gulab jamuns, I don't know from wheređđđ and whatever else you may like, coming your way. Thank you for that.
And now on to Praveen Bhai, Mitu, Ann, Ambika and others, who are in the same boat as me, GUYS, OUR BOAT IS NOT SINKING, we are back in business and hopefully off to calmer shoresđđOur precious Pragya is back, alive and kicking ( well not really, just moving her index finger ), but stillâ¤ď¸
Here goes:
Episode opened with Abhi watching an excited Munni. The FBđ˛đ˛đ˛ convo with both daadis. Guys, I just walked into a similar looking scene recently, I can't help but share here. This summer when I was in India, one of my dad's employees had his daughter's wedding. I attended the wedding with my parents, but this person also invited us for a dinner and some ceremony in the evening. My parents had to attend some other wedding, so they asked me to go for this dinner that night. Little did we know what it was, until I walked into this very same looking scene, this 19 yr old bride flanked by two 60+ year old women, each holding her hand ( just like the oldies and Abhi today )I thought were her grandmothers and were giving her some advice from hellđĄ In short, this apparently was a SR, and these two older women were giving her advice on how to entice the guy, how to be a scheming, plotting seductress, so he remains loyal to herđĄđĄđ¤˘ I just couldn't BELIEVE what I was hearing. This was a true arranged marriage, the girl was anxious as hell and these women were not helping her in any way. I thought this stuff only happened in movies till I saw this first handI had to shoo those people away and take over and talked to her about intimacy, love, belonging, affection, safe practices, hygiene, contraception and family planning which were Greek to her. The older women probably had a fit when they heard me talk so " shamelessly", but please know, I felt that I handled it delicatelyđđź. Anyway, my dad's employee and the bride were happy when I met her a week later, as she came to take leave from my parents since she was going away with her husband, so I guess, I didn't cause any lasting scars for herđ¤ Anyway, I digressed a lot, but Abhi sitting with the daadis brought back that imagery for me. . Call me wierd. No points for the daadis as they tattle taled once Abhi expressed his doubtsđĄ. What ever happened to them and their own concerns that something is amissđĄ? Sorry guys, if I offended anyone's sensibilities
And the sindoor scene, couldn't have been more violently done for a show called " kumkum bhagya". And the blaring back ground music with chanting, I guess, this is the end all. đ. The guy can be called a husband, the MS can be snatched or given away or worn by anybody, but the kumkum can't be worn by anybody, other than the primary kumkum bearerđ˛. So to be a suhagan, the criteria are kumkum, MS, xyz and last comes the actual husband in that order, according to this showđ¤˘. Sad as it soundsđ
Ok, I couldn't watch Abhi slowly gathering up the kumkum with his two fingersđ˛. Dude, you need to gather it up quickly with your whole palm, quickly scoop it up and use a tongue depressor or a nail file to gather up what is remainingđł. Jeez, that was the longest 2 min, I had to watch without jumping in and finishing up the task. Sorry guys, one of my many idiosyncrasies
Finally, finally, after an eternity, Munni prays earnestly and we get our Pragya backâ¤ď¸. Thank you Munni for the prayers, Durga maa for keeping our girl alive, Abhi for doubting Munni and I saved my last for the best "THE DOCTOR AND HER ATTENDANT" the two true farishte. Many of you know that I am agonizing about this for a long time, that Abhi doesn't know where Pragya is as he thinks she is with him and our girl is helpless, scared and tucked away somewhere else. But thank you writers, for not showing her in such a situation but flawlessly cared for, delicately thought about, heartfully wished forâ¤ď¸. I don't remember all the conversation between the doctor and her attendant, but it was all superlativeđđź, The kind attendant was even wishing for her family to come and find her soonâ¤ď¸đ¤Here is to all of those kind and noble souls out there who do this in real life, OUR NURSESâ¤ď¸đđź
OK guys, the sun is shining outside, the birds are singing, our girl is alive, Abhi wants to be a true husband, Allah Wariyan is back and I am at peace. I even sympathized with a random wrong way driver on the freeway when I saw the alert, when I normally would have been " How in the hell can... " I know I will be hopping angry at times when the show progresses and will be disappointed with our leads at times, but for today guys, life is beautifulđâ¤ď¸
That is it from me.
