Valid reasons and genuine complaints by viewers against prime time TV shows and channels do get a hearing with I&B ministry and BCCC. But no such genuine complaint quoting valid reasons has gone against KKB so far for concerned authorities to get into action.😛
But do check below link for some latest action take by council against a newly launched Sony TV show.. I haven't watched even a single episode of the said show airing on Sony. But when I read about uproar and complaints both online and offline against basic concept and how its being shown on a prime time slot that usually gets watched by kids in the country, I suspected that council may first ask channel to shift show from prime time to late night viewing.
Thats exactly the point, petition or complaint cant take a show off air.. even the other show which caused such negativity will have a timeslot change..its not being stopped..
Thats because these boards and ministries work under rules and regulations and boring content is not reason to take something off air..
@bold -- there is no genuine reason to ask KKB to be taken off air which needs intervention from the board..
people interested in understanding how these boards work can read about all the noise around the Lipstick movie and how censorship and certification are two different things..it is interesting to know the contradicting perspective of censor board and content makers while censoring and certifying content..
At the end, nobody can play moral police.Period.
