Puliya scene

Aliya had a fb of puliya in a restaurant when they were dating. It wasn't Arjit Purab, it was Vin Purab. 😆 Come on writers, don't cook up what didn't happen.😆

Although the change of actors is a weird thing to follow up.. PuLiyah was not as bad as it is now when the idea was shown earlier.
So what happened was.. Abhi sees Purab and Aalu together and proposes the idea of them as a couple. And both do not disagree or have any opposition to it. Later on, Aaliyah goes to Australia for studies and in another occasion they even get engaged following Purab defending Aalu from a guy who tried to bother her.
Until BB enters Purab's life, although Purab wasn't head over heels in love with Aaliyah, he isn't against the idea of marrying her either! He has a whole year or two to refuse to Aalu and he did not. It's only when he met BB and fell for her, he starts to avoid Aaliyah's phone call etc. He perhaps felt love for BB which he never felt for Aaliyah. Of course he was obligated to Abhi too. But then my point is there was a long time in PuLiyah life where there was no head over heels love but a commitment which Aaliyah took very seriously and so did Abhi. Even Purab wasn't against it until BB came in.

Abhi sure didn't hold a gun on Purab's head asking him to marry. He had no one in his life and kind of agreed to marry Aaliyah like someone would agree to an arranged marriage.

There was some good friendship between PuLiyah (after all they all grew up together). Abhi noted that and thought of hooking them up. He also thought Purab was the best guy his sister could marry.

The issue with Aaliyah is she has perceived Purab scenario as betrayal and loss. So when they got engaged, she just believed Purab to be hers (which was fair!). Given the nature of Aaliyah, she could not take that Purab fell for some other woman while engaged to her. It's sad for any girl to have your fiance fall for another girl. But then what is worse was how she came to know of it. Purab never told her nicely that he can't marry her because of lack of love (for Aalu) or because of love for BB. He didn't even think about his fiancee Aaliyah much when he fell for BB. And when Aaliyah came back, he was trying to figure out a way to deal with this. Aaliyah found out the truth in a bad way as she overheard a convo between Purab and Bulbul.

In fact even BB didn't know about Purab being engaged to Aaliyah at that time. I was surprised BB wasn't as mad at Purab as I thought she should be.

But Aaliyah being Aaliyah, did not want to accept she lost Purab. She actually wanted to believe the middle class girl BB trapped Purab. Hence she hatched a plan to make Abhi marry BB (which turned out to be Pragya in a confusion) so that Purab learns a lesson that his so called GF is ready to marry a richer guy for money!

Aaliyah has deteriorated a lot after all this happened, but I believe if Purab had been more open about his feelings for her or at least more honest about BB in the beginning itself, may be Aaliyah would have taken it better. May be!

Nevertheless, after AbhiGya marriage, Purab agreed to marry Aaliyah again (in a way proving Abhi/Aaliyah right.. but it was due to BB forcing him), but then ran away again abandoning Aaliyah the bride!! It was yet again another betrayal for Aaliyah who failed to see why Purab didn't want to marry her. Abhi gave up on Purab at this point and asked Aaliyah to let him go and that he will find a better guy for her.

But Aaliyah still hasn't given up. She never will. She is scorned, feels dejected and has turned vicious and destructive in the end.
