I commented in some other threads. Just sharing summary in EDT.
Looks CVs purposely edited Thurs, 23rd Mar episode at cliffhanger so that people tune into Fri episode to know if Nikhil's clean face is out in open or if anyone else recognized him apart from Aliya even with those colors on. 😛
Purab knows it is Nikhil who came as killer hiding his face behind dark colors. Also feel both Purab & Pragya noticed how tensed Tanu was while she was staring at the killer.
When Nikhil blabbered rubbish in the room thinking Purab is unconscious Purab very much heard his voice before he was attacked. Guess Purab was either waiting Nikhil himself to open his mouth & reveal Tanu's name or for his washed face to come openly before everyone. May be after Nikhil escapes Purab may reveal killer is Nikhil to Pragya & others Fri or Mon, even if not Abhi.

Firstly Tanu may let Nikhil escape from MM in the pretext of giving water. Nikhil most possibly will run from house towards lawns without washing his face or opening his mouth, taking some one into custody using sword that was thrown down. (could it be Abhi or Pragya?).
Guess that sword fell near by when Pragya stopped Abhi from stabbing the attacker with the same weapon that was used against Purab.
Instead of asking Mithali or Pragya to get water & soap it didn't make sense why CVs made Abhi ask Tanu for it other than to given her a chance to help Nikhil?? from when did this useless & jobless girl become helper to MM people in their domestic chores!! 😆
If at any time later Purab reveals to Abhi that he suspects killer may be Nikhil, then possibility of Abhi's question to killer 'tell me who is the lady behind you' may possibly get redirected towards Aliya? because 'Nikhil is my dear friend' tag was earlier used by Aliya before Abhi to save Tanu from any suspicion of being Nikhil's GF. It will be fun to see Takhil turn it around Aliya to save their own skin😊

But from now on, Abhi may get into Nikhil's hit list apart from Pragya & Purab. If Nikhil repeatedly looks at harming or destroying Abhi then quite unaware to Abhi he will become source for fights between Takhil and also between Taaliya. Now this will be fun to watch provided writers use this sequence properly atleast for few episodes before Purab or Pragya try to get some evidences to actually link killer to Nikhil then him to Tanu and not Aliya.
