LOL Akshi sometimes watching is less miserable than reading! Nothing interesting happened today though so I think it would be fine to skip it šŸ˜†

Hello Mina, a very happy new year and thanks for your review. After watching all the entertaining weekend shows my mind was not ready to watch KKB. I knew it would be a depressing episode. Abhi slapping Purab, that was completely pointless. Why he don't want to see his face? Why is it too late now? Was he going to propose Nikita? Why is hugging each other a galti? Alia saying the same dialogue in ten different ways. I still believe that Purab could have ended the matter, he could have failed their plan but even if he said he loves Nikita, why are they doing so ho-halla? Alia and Tanu completely behaving like the old fashioned daadi ammas. Ladka ladki gale kyu mile? Ye kya hua? When these two girls themselves tried raping the men. Thumbs down to the writers.
Pragya's silence is always disturbing. But now I see it this way that continuously getting blamed and insulted made her silent. There is an absence of emotions in her heart which stops her from arguing for the same things again and again.

Mina, thank you for your reply and your thoughts. I see what you are saying. So more about his responsibility as a friend ? That makes a whole lot of sense.
I will take your advice and stay away from watching today. If by chance I end up watching, I will share my thoughts.

Happy New Year !!!!😃

Hi Mitu, happy new year to you too šŸ¤—

Really agree with your comments! When Abhi said "too late now," it would have made sense if he followed with "because I love her too". I want to know from him tomorrow why he never wants to see Purab's face again, I don't feel we got an explanation today. Was hugging the galati??? Oh dear lord.

Yes, Purab could have ended the matter - I thought he was making a good start, describing a non-romantic, supportive love. Lord he could even have said he was Pragya's brother in law! What difference would it have made to say that. Again, high hopes for tomorrow/rest of week, that we get some actual justification for this...but then I also know those hopes are unlikely to be met, the writers on this show never need a good reason to do anything.

One of the most infuriating things about TaAliya is how easily they create these "characterless" blames when their own lives demonstrate the fullest what they're trying to vilify...truly the show makes one wonder what is the value in being good and honest when you can still be blamed for this kind of thing!

Interesting thought, that Pragya has become numb out of silence...that would be a rational response. I would say actually though that she's not rational...she's still too innocent and earnest. She wanted to explain to Abhi that the situation wasn't what it seemed...if she had skipped some steps of the explanation and told him exactly what it was, it would've been better for her. I think she was getting there and I wouldn't call what I saw from her today as silence. But what she hasn't learned after all this time is that no one will ever let her "get to" the truth so instead of trying to give full context she should start with the hardest hitting truth and grab all the attention back to that 😈

Thanks for reading and commenting Mitu! Here's to an interesting year of KKB ahead - since it would be pointless to wish for a sensible or fun one šŸ˜†

Yes, about his responsibility as a friend. I have absolutely zero expectation of Abhi sorting out his feelings and identity, he's far too lost for that šŸ˜›

If you do watch, will be interested in your thoughts! And if you don't, enjoy the extra hours of peace and sanity šŸ˜†

Happy new year!! 🄳

Kudos to those who had patience to watch in live such a lamely shot & unconvincing episode which was supposed to start a brand new week, month and year as per calendar. I guess the episode also hints viewers not to have any false expectations from the show.

KKB is the only daily show that is providing considerable popularity, ad revenues and even decent ratings to Zee channel. Above all 9pm slot is another basic advantage this show has got where people in India who got hooked to some factors initially got used to tuning to Zee. So the channel may not even think to change the time slot or bring down the show anytime in near future. Also during last couple of years most of the new daily shows launched on other GEC's at 9pm slot are unable to sustain audience interest for long.

Guess with the above advantages and ofcourse with the popularity of the lead pair that the show has been repeatedly banking on, some sort of carelessness, arrogance and laziness seems to have crept into writers/CVs/PH of the show. This of late is repeatedly reflecting in the declining quality of the content, - dialogues, screen play, direction, editing, characterization etc. Some are easily noticeable to an average viewer as well. Randomly some good scenes or episodes come up but this has become countable now.

This show does have some good potential in Romcom genre. Even if the makers are operating with an end in mind to drag every track in KKB for long (say 1 to 2 years), still many plots, sub-plots, sequences within a track could have been made more captivating, believable, entertaining, little bit convincing and even clean by also upholding basic premise and behavior of each character. Unfortunately for several months their lack of attention to the overall flow and lack of regular introspection of episodes is gravely visible.

If the makers had tough time slot competition or control from the channel may be some seriousness can come in from the whole crew. With the way things are currently moving and the over dependency Zee has on this show, I feel the quality of content may still deteriorate going forward. Let viewers be prepared or save themselves in advance. A popular show needs to hook you up or entertain with some factors or the other but most of them have taken back seat and will continue to.

Mina thank you for the show!! Loved and agreed WORD TO WORD. And thank you to everyone else for the added feedback, makes for an interesting and enlightening discussion :)
My only thoughts:

1) I would like to spam the whole forum by exclaiming that Pragya denied the relationship TWICE in the episode, one to Abhi's face and then to Purabs face.

2) Abhi had no reason to slap Purab. Purab did not claim he was IN LOVE with Pragya, he literally explained that if "taking care of someone and supporting them is love, then its love."

Also thank you Mina for explaining why calling Pragya's on-and-off supporters a "team" is no longer applicable. Team is dead. Pragya is definitely all alone.
