- The leads are appealing - Pragya and Abhi are both nice, righteous people. Generally speaking they are likable. Sometimes they do awful things but I think many viewers forgive and/or forget those lapses.
- The villains are easy to understand - Aaliya is a wicked sister. Tanu is a desperate girlfriend. These are character types people can easily understand, even if they don't know the specific twists and turns that brought the story to where it currently is. This may also be why we haven't seen any huge, major change in villains over the course of the show - this duo has been enough to work with.
- The story is family-focused - The essential crisis at the heart of KKB is that AbhiGya's marriage is never safe and settled. That is the focus of everything. The show might not do much to promote what is traditionally understood as family values, yet it is keenly focused on a simple problem that so far has held audience attention - will these two ever get their domestic life sorted?
There's a principle of philosophy that generally speaking, the simplest explanation is the most likely to be true. Looking seriously at the show, I think it's possible to point out the specific, few, key things that the show does really well, even if those get buried under a hundred thousand story shifts that may merit criticism.
