No! Because he was with family always.
He had Purab with him.

Dadi and Purab wouldn't let him do such stuff. Also I feel drugs get into you when you feel lonely and distressed. Abhi is full of life and surrounded by people like dadi and Purab.

I belive he had no need to take them.
