As Abhi went upstairs to his room filled with rage, Purab followed him after gesturing Pragya to stay back. Abhi didn't know with whom he was angry and disappointed. Him and Tanu getting married? The thought itself was enough for him to feel sick. That's when he heard Purab enter the room.
Purab told Abhi to not stress much as his health could get worse. He was extremely happy to see Abhi's memories returning but Abhi's reaction kind of scared people. He along with everyone else in MM thought he would get relaxed after putting Tanu and Aliya in jail but his anger didn't seem to fade making them worry.
Abhi sat on his bed with his back facing Purab. Purab walked slowly towards Abhu and kept his hand on Abhi's shoulder.
"Why are you upset Abhi? Everything is fine now"
"What do you expect from me? To be happy with what happened. To be happy with the fact that I almost married Tanu", Abhi asked Purab looking straight in the eye.
"But you didn't get married to her"
"But why was she here"
"You lost your memory. We couldn't-"
"I lost my memory. Yes, but you guys didn't lose it na. Do you meant to say everyone in the family could do nothing?"
"Abhi, please be calm. Doctors told us not to remind you of your past. We couldn't tell you about Tanu or Aliya's deeds because of the fear of risking your life"
"I don't want to hear anything", Abhi said rigidly. He was in no mood to listen to anything. He was so disappointed with the happenings in his life for the past 7 months. It's not what he wanted. He felt betrayed by his life.
"Abhi", Purab tried to talk.
"Purab don't make me say something that I would regret."
Purab left. Abhi didn't know that Pragya heard it all from outside.
He just wanted to be alone because he didn't know what to do with his emotions. He was recalling all of Pragya's sufferings. It was because of his memory loss. The true cause was Tanu and Aliya but hadn't he lost his memory, they wouldn't have gotten the advantage. He knew he shouldn't blame himself for something that he wasn't aware of, yet he wanted to hold himself responsible.
When her mother and grandmother offered to talk and help her, Pragya told them to just leave her alone. She always thought that her life would get so good once Abhi got his memory back and Abhi's reaction broke her illusion. She wasn't disappointed with him. She felt his anger was right. If she had lost her memory and when she got her memory back, if she had seen herself almost getting married to someone else, wouldn't she be broken? Wouldn't she expect her people to have her back when she was vulnerable? She felt she didn't live upto his love. The voice at the back of her told that she was asked to leave the house and not come in front of him, even when fate helped them get together again, she was told to not to reveal that she's his wife and she did her best to help him as she became an integral part of his life from just being his fan. But the voice of reasoning didn't convince her. She felt bad for disappointing him and letting him down.
Pragya was woken up by her Daadi. Her Daadi could see Pragya's face stained with tear marks due to crying all night. She suggested Pragya that instead of tormenting herself with thoughts, she should go and meet Abhi. Pragya was reluctant at first but then it was time that she talked to him. Abhi wanted to meet Pragya too so it was easy for them to fix a place and time.
As the moonlight shone on their faces, both of them were silently walking through the shore though they had a lot to talk. Pragya wanted to tell him that she failed to help him in a way that counts. Abhi wanted to tell how sorry and guilty he was feeling about her sufferings.
"I want to tell you something", Abhi was the one to break the ice.
"I also want to", she replied.
"What's it?", he asked.
"You tell first", she said. He looked at her intently. Pragya felt the need to talk first.
"I am sorry", both of them said at once.
"Why are you saying sorry?", asked Pragya. Before he could answer, she told him that she should be the one saying sorry.
"Why?", he asked surprised as he couldn't understand what's the reason behind her saying sorry.
"I let you down. I shouldn't let you with that Tanu. I..."
"You heard me talk to Purab. Didn't you? My words must have planted this thought in you. You know I am stupid when I am angry", he stopped when she cupped his face.
"Don't blame yourself please. You weren't wrong. I should have-"
"Do you think I would have risked telling about our past if I had been told it would risk your life? I would have done the same. Don't burden yourself with too much expectations on you."
"But-"
He pressed her nose button and she stopped. For a long time, they stood there looking into each other's tear filled eyes. There was love and anguish in them. As they hugged each other, their world felt at peace.
After some time,
Abhi and Pragya walk along the shore. Their voices from far away...
"You said you'd have done the same for me", Pragya said.
"Yes any doubt?"
"I don't think you would have been able to see me get married to someone else"
"I am the Rockstar. I wouldn't have let things go far."
"You're being too proud"
"No"
"Yes"
"NO"
And the banter continues...
