Few clarifications..

This post was about how negative/impulsive side (which is predominant in MUs) of Abhi has been monotonously handled by CVs and then how every time it was coped up with a redemption action in the same way . The very reason for putting content warning is that I am touching only negative side and it should not offend others views . IT IS Not to hurt others ..

As I said in several replies .. It was about how I feel about a hero of a soap that I follow has been reacting since 400 epi when he was in MUs and how that is getting portrayed by CVs.. So Not sure why the questions on guts to write good things of the character when that was not the topic.

About usage of words ...If you feel offensive when I say "deadly gorgeous" because you see only deadly but not the next word . I would rather appreciate if you find out my intention before owning the very word and asking my right to use that . After I give clarification, I would expect you to understand because most of us daily share our views with each other.

well I do not want to apologize as hurting was never my intention in writing content warning . Well I apologize for expecting more understanding from regular folks that I interact with . Lessons taken 😊 and I will be more cautious from my next post on wards about the usage of words to avoid intentional arguments..

@beinglyeristic, I'm sorry I have to disagree with you 😊. I don't believe we're obligated to provide balanced opinions on any character - including Abhi. We're entitled to see characters the way we want and post topics from our own povs.

We're all biased when it comes to characters! Bias does not have to mean dislike or hate. Excessively liking a character is also a bias 😊! I don't expect unbiased posts on the forum.

Freedom for forum members also means to post a pov without having to justify or defend that pov. Every IF member has a right to his/her pov without having to explain why he/she feels that way and offer evidence for that pov. This is not a court of law or a Ph D thesis!

I've seen so many posts that are insulting and rude, but I don't respond to them or demand explanations because the person has a right to express that view. Just because I disagree with a post does not mean its wrong or disrespectful - I remind myself of that and move on! 😊

Sorry Toni,but I disagree with you. I just posted on this. But here's my customized response to you. I can blame any character for what I like or dislike about them. No one can tell me that I need to give a balanced approach. Can you please point to a specific rule on the forum rules or provide a link on this? If there's a rule, I'd like to know more about it.

Are you telling me I can't disagree with or dislike something specific about Abhi? Why? I have a right to like who I want and why I like. And every time I dislike a character (including Abhi), I do not believe I have to preface by saying how much I actually like the character and apologize for my pov. That's a complete violation to my freedom of expression!

I don't have to be brave and provide balanced opinions or give credit to characters just to satisfy others either.

I like what Rishu (i think? If I misnamed, sorry!) said. The characters in the show are not as important as the IF members (or something to that effect). I completely agree.

I'm seeing a consistent pattern in this post where members are asking for tolerance and acceptance of others' views. I like that and I support that 100%. I also saw posts asking to not label forum members as worshippers or haters. Completely agree. But here's the thing. Because I post something I did not like in a character, does not make me a hater. Whether its Abhi or Pragya, for me, there are days where I do not like something about them. I don't believe I need to consistently like them all the time.

Please allow me the space to like or dislike a character and express that in a post.

I'm requesting for openness on the forum so we can post what we like without name calling or disrespecting each other. Thank you, Toni 😊

A true rockstar,talented and hard working, He dint believe love between a man and a woman but he loved people in his life selflessly. As a brother,friend and grandson he did everything he can to make them happy.

He married a girl with a misunderstanding to save his sister. His intention was not marry her,have sex with her and throw her out. He wanted to save his sister. Not tad he is completely right but every brother will want to protect his sister and abhi is doing tad since when he was a kid.

Yes he hurt his wife but hurting people is not his job he hated or hurted someone who he believed was a gold digger. Well don't we all hate Tanu. For him chasmish was Tanu type so be hated her.
But where I find him adorable is when he doesn't drink because chasmish mother doesn't like,when he says sorry because he demeaned the same chasmish mother.

Abhi was responsible for Sarla heart attack? Well no..he wasn't.. He saved a breaking heart.
Well I don't believe in being selfless.
But he was selfless all along. He didn't think about him. It was his sister or chasmish mother.
Sacrificing isn't selfless, trying to help someone over you is selfless and in tad way abhi gets high points.
Well abhi saved a marriage hall. He went to jail. Tad is nothing. Yes tads nothing for him because he never showed it. Again this proves so high about his character.
She fell in love with that abhi.
If falling in love with someone who saved ur family though he hated u is selfless?
Than what is helping someone whom u hate and u believe is the reason for ur darling sister heart break called?

Mms was a coincidence and luck.,
No it wasn't. He dint get proof and stop Pragya. He stopped Pragya believing she was innocent and than found proof. If he didn't find proof he would have stopped the marriage by someother way because he believed she was innocent.
He believed, he dint see/hear proofs like Pragya did in Tanu case.
U can argue Tanu was flaunted by abhi. Well suresh was sticking to Pragya too everywhere and suresh told abhi Pragya has feelings for him.
But still he had a heart to see her heart bleed.
That is the abhi we love sorry blindly worship...

He is a star and he starved and ran for life yet he never complained about it.
Taking bullet was because pragya stood before him. No raji u must have missed it when Pragya shot Neel by mistake and his goons wanted to shoot Pragya abhi who is tied up come and sits before her.
Tads abhi we all love sorry worship.

He slapped Pragya. Yes.. Tad wasn't right but he slapped her when she said she made fun of his emotions.

He is still nice. He is a rockstar,the country's only rockstar.
People love him to death and one fan died for him.
Tads his popularity but still he dint do anything against Pragya.

He got a chance of taking all the money today when she was drunk but why did he make her drink for money? No for fuggy..

Well this is the Abhisheik Mehra I love and I am proud of it.
If this is worshipping than yes i am worshipper and I will build a temple too..

Revenge marriage < Sarla life
Hurting and hating < Pragya respect
Lohri lie< Pragya life
Abhi love > Tanu baby

Hi Rishu, I'm not going to try and convince you 😊. You have a right to your pov just as I do too.

bold - For me, it's simply unacceptable for a man to ruin a woman's life just to please his sister. No man should do what Abhi did. To justify it as what any brother would do, is not realistic to me. Most brothers would not do that! That's a difference of opinon. OK fine. I also feel the CV's have not done much to Abhi's character to make up for that fundamental damage he did to Pragya. That's my opinion.

I know there's a laundry list of things he did to Sarla ma, etc. For every thing you'll point out, believe me, I can come up with a complete balance sheet of what both Pragya and Abhi did for each other. So I don't want to go there! No matter what, it is my opinion he still has not made up for that wrong decision he made to help his sister. I don't believe I need to highlight all the positives he did just because I'm pointing this about him.

We see characters and decisions differently! We should be allowed to express them without justifications too!

Abhi's blind worshippers or whatever the exact term used to label a certain set of fans was came across offensive. It was not a polite warning but it sounded taunting. Abhi is not a religion but he is a forum icon here and if some people find understanding to his behavior, they do. After all we are here because we love the characters and as long as we are not bashing and name calling there is no reason to not show your love or disagreement!

If some have issues at all, put forth your points and the people who think otherwise put their POVs.

I believe IF rules also do not agree with name calling. And that is what was objected to. Raji did change her sentence later, which I thanked her for after clarification.

Cereal girl, does Pragya have absolute proofs for Taaliyah's fraud? Tannu was talking to someone on the phone and Pragya overheard it, it could be a complete MU!! But now she is on a mission to teach a lesson to Taaliyah! If we think Pragya is doing the right thing, so was Abhi.

But the point of the story is although Abhi started off with hate, he has managed to be the biggest love of Pragya's life. And remember Pragya never liked him before marriage, she rather detested him, but he has made up for all that in his own way that today she doesn't give a damn about her mother because she has to protect Abhi!

In Day to Day life we won't analyze the people, we will just react according to the situation.. that's how they are showing Abhi's character.. We know the story We know the background so we are telling why can't they do this that etc.. But in reality most of the people will react like how Abhi react..

I can see how you're able to connect with Abhi and that makes it easy for you to appreciate his decisions and actions. I'm not sure most people will react according to the situation without thinking. I'm sorry, Kanchana, I don't agree. 😊 He's not most people. He's a celebrity. People look up to him. He needs to think and make decisions. His decisions don't make sense to me sometimes. Many may be able to relate to him. Good for them. So far, that's how I see him. And I'm entitled to see him that way!!! 😆

Tia, Absolutely no room for name calling on the forum! 100% agree. 😊

To me, the forum members have helped me appreciate the show more than they know. I actually began to experience the show on a different level from the povs of people who disagree with me! My open mindedness has helped me a lot!

In that spirit, my posts on this thread have nothing to do with the story or specific events. See, even if someone tells me they see Abhi as a great brother and he's justified to do that to Pragya, I won't attack them for that. They have a right to that pov. And I'm asking for the same. None of us should be blamed for us povs!

At any given time, we, the forum members will like, dislike, agree or disagree with characters and incidents. I'm requesting all of us to allow us the space to disagree without fear of retaliation. And I have seen members come down heavily on posts they don't agree with! There has to be more acceptance of different povs. That's just my pov and I will not impose mine on others!😊

You're right Abhi is an icon to many. And I appreciate that. Heck, I'm one of those that love him. But because I love him, I don't overlook things I disagree with him. That's me. And I should be allowed to do that. Just as he's an icon, for many of us Pragya is an icon too. So logically, what applies to Abhi should apply to Pragya or other characters as well. I also saw strong language how the post need to provide positives for balance. I also saw a post that members need to be brave to show others aspects of Abhi. I don't believe any member should be held to that rule. If that were the case, I'll have to go back and apply this rule first to the many insulting posts on Pragya and calling her names too! 😆 But I won't do that because I value freedom of expression!
