That's why I said Pragya could help with the money secretly- through BB or someone, a lottery..somehow.
It is not a theatre role Pragya is playing. She is playing with real people and real emotions. She is wrong on many levels. It's plain wrong to lie to people especially to an aged mother for such prolonged times to put her in distress. It's not even like Pragya knows what she is doing and in control of the situation. No everything does not need to happen according to Sarla Maa, but a mother does not deserve to be lied to, this way.
Pragya IS knowingly hurting her mother when things can be done in 100 other ways. Daadi did not hold her at a gun point to do this. It was Pragya's inability/guilt to not have helped Abhi in his worst that made her take up this task.
