Sat Dec 19 epi - Lousy episode - Don't spoil my weekends, CV's!!

I did not like the episode at all. Thank you Laura and Nads for your reviews!!

Pragya with her mother - That was awful! It's awful for CV's to make Pragya say those lines to her mother. No daughter tells her mother "you're overreacting". Isn't KKB how about a Punjabi matriarch who runs a marriage hall and has 2 daughters? And it never occurred to the writers to somehow get the mother of the bride involved in BB's wedding? Bad writing and directing!

RaBul, Abhi, Pragya, and dadi talking about gifts - Abhi's double is so bad. He's so bad it's distracting to watch the scene. Abhi's character has become horrible to watch. His dialogs to BB about gifts be bought her are childish and stupid. Pragya's reactions to Abhi are turning me off. Her character has lost her brain. Abhi-Pragya lines to each other are so irritating!

Abhi - Purab lines were not even funny. Abhi teasing Purab about their honeymoon was laughable. He wants to send them away to all these fancy places when his sister is burning the bed and pushing the bride down the stairs. Wow, what a family! Seriously what do Pragya and Purab see in the Mehras to even want to risk their lives and relationships???

Aliya burning the room - the SBS was a lot better. This scene was badly edited and they just showed a few seconds. What purpose did Aliya burning the bed serve? Didn't she just give herself away? Everyone knows she did it! So stupid to bring RaBul to MM for their wedding night.

Oh, the POA papers. So they're real. What's wrong with Pragya? How did she fall into Abhi's trap and sign on those papers? One good thing is Abhi told BB about it so she told Pragya. Now does Pragya have a way out of this? I don't think so. Abhi crossed all limits for me when he was so eager to tell Tanu he got the papers signed. At this point, based on what I saw today, I have written Abhi off. I'll change my mind if all this is part of his game. For now, he's gone for me.

So here's my message to Pragya: Pragya, run. Run as far as you can from MM. Dadi is using you to get her work done. She doesn't care for your happiness. This man is not worth your love, your sacrifice, and all your suffering. He is the cause of your pain right now. No man is worth this much work, Pragya. His sister is out to get you and your sister. You and your sister and her husband should walk out.

This was a terrible episode in my opinion.

Love your last paragraph Prani. Watching the Arora house scene made me so angry at both Mehras for all the nonsense they put Pragya through. Then because a year and a half on this forum has left me with an alien voice of Mehra-partisanship in my head, I started feeling upset at Pragya for continuing to subject herself to Mehra expectations. Like??? Girl??? She's like cult-level brainwashed. All she wants is Daadi's approval and Abhi's love. Maybe she would be this way for any family she married into. But yuck, is it ever disappointing to watch how things continue to unfold. That being said, I have yet to be disheartened enough to actually give up on Pragya. She may never swim back to the shores of independent thought but I still like her enough to believe that she won't actually drown as she flounders along the tides of her supposed love story.

not to offend any abhigya shippers but it seems that the CVS are hell bent on proving that its only pragya's kumkum bhagya which is keeping them together, nothing else. Had they shown them working together to destroy the villains in their life, it would have been different. CVs need to show the audiences why they are good for each other instead of making pragya abhi's body guard and showing him so clueless.

Haha well he earned major points from me today by saying that Aalu's rage is a little bit justified because RaBul should not be honeymooning in her own home. He said, "that young lady has shown at least some realistic things, she has done a good job, Jitendra's daughter, what's her name again?" 😆

In general he's very frustrated that the Tanu truth is not out. He doesn't like that AbhiGya are still not together, he thinks they are wasting time. However he was very impressed with Pragya's temper in Saturday's precap, and said she sounded genuinely dangerous when threatening Aaliya. Also he has this bizarre theory that the show has gone to 6 days so that they can get AbhiGya together faster and end it so a new 9pm show can start. But then he thought it didn't make sense about them ending the show after less than 2 years. I tried explaining about competing with other networks that do 6 or 7 days but he wasn't interested!

As for me, I have been watching regularly, but nothing much to say. The last week and a half or so just made no sense to me. I don't understand Abhi, I think he's gone off the rails. I never supported Rabul being married so the suddenness of it is strange and alienating to me. Basically I am waiting for it to start to make sense to me again, then I might have more to comment on!

I don't know where to begin. The story and the turns don't make sense anymore. I'm trying to be rational here: is Zee channel interfering with the Balaji's creatives? I read somewhere Zee is one such channel (there are others too) that dictates content of the serials. Now that the show is on 6 days, I wonder if they're diluting the script instead of writing new material. Did key people in script writers team leave? I think Mrunal leaving and bringing the replacement on board is probably creating problems. Something is going on in the production house. A show that won an award for best story cannot screw up like this without any reason.

I doubt Pragya would be this way in any of her in-laws. She didn't seem this way with Suresh's mother. She seemed so comfortable being her sensible self back then. Pragya is at her best dealing with people from "middle class" like her. After her marriage to Abhi from the super rich class, she lost her voice. I've always felt there is class war in the show. It's realistic for characters to change, but I'd like Pragya to always have her core traits of being sensible and standing up for justice.

Like you, I haven't given up on Pragya yet. But, I'm not getting a good feeling about Pragya exposing the villains and Abhi not figuring out she's fuggy. If she doesn't expose Tanu and if Abhi wins back his property, then to me, Pragya's character has lost her core traits. I hope writers won't do that to her.

I wonder what'll fall out of her last ditch effort with RaBul wedding. She hoped this wedding will provoke Aliya to do something so that she can prove to Abhi. But how? How does Rabul wedding link to Aliya's plans to destroy Abhi? I don't know. Got to wait and see!

This was a terrible episode in my opinion.

🤣 🤣 🤣 you were so funny Prani! I loved all the review but this part was superb 👏
I remember how much i stood up for Abhi, because I sow him hurt, all burned inside, crying and being weak in all this situation created especially by Daddi to save him. OK Daddi never wanted bad things happen,but they did , are and will. She should have taken him to her room and say the whole truth, from the beginning. Just like that! But no! And now things got crazy, out of control ( Alia is a psycho, BB will get hurt, so Purab will too. Abhi is Tanu's marionette with amnesia when it comes to real love. Pragya is geting hurt more and more by him, and she is loosing her guts, her senses, her inspiration and her concentration. Now I cannot be on Abhi's side. Until he will become the Rock Star I know with a big heart and always disconforted when Pragya gets hurt... I will see him like a ...villain. Without his knowledge he is becoming one of them in a way. I want the old Abhi back. The detective Abhi, the smart Abhi, the fighter Abhi, the lovingly Abhi - where did all those Abhi go? Who kidnapped them? Who brought the worst possible clone of Abhi's???
The CV' ruined those two beautiful creations (Abhi and Pragya)
So, yes, run Pragya, run!
